Topic: Will you buy COD 4 for wii?

Why does everyone automatically assume 'dumbed down'? Hell, the game is already quite superbly 'dumb'. The only thing that will definitely be lacking is some graphical polish, and I can live without that.

If it's got all the maps/add-ons bundled in as well as a solid online mode, I'll be getting it for sure. Why not?

I already have the much much much superior version on my Playstation 3.

No need to waste money on an inferior, horribly dumbed-down port.

Physics, AI, you think the Wii can do everything else just as good?

Depends on the price and quality. If it's high quality and a budget price I'll probably go for it unless I've got CoD4 on another system by then (the only copies of it I've seen are still full price).

@Golgo: Physics, AI, graphics, content, lag, etc. Trust me, there's a lot more then just graphics that are going to be worse.

Funny thing is, some Xbox fans say that the Wii has less power just due to the graphics of the system.

Oh yeah online, that's another thing.

According to Miyamoto the Wii isn't even powerful enough to run New Super Mario Bros. online.

I highly doubt any other console would have that issue. lol

@Golgo: You do realize what you're saying is impossible, to have the game's identical minus the graphics? The Wii can't handle everything, simple as that. WaW was far superior on the 360/PS3, and CoD4 won't be any different. I'm not saying it'll be horrible, just way worse than the other versions.

I don't like COD4 much. I'm more of a TF2 guy.

I'll buy it. Whilst it looked good on the 360, I'm not playing dual analogue games anymore, there not last gen' let alone current, hence why S&M are playing catch up. If the controls and online structure for the Wii are as good as they can be, then I'll happily buy this. It's Treyarch though, and I remember what it felt like playing CoD3Wii, yuk!

Hmmm, probably not. But I will consider it the superior version due to motion controls. I found a lot of FPSs being unplayable due to the dual analog controls. Even if the PS3 and Xbox version have higher amount of power and are far more advanced than the wii version will ever be, I would buy the wii version over the PS3 version any day. That is only an opinion, though.

Guilty as charged. I do love good games. So of course it's a bit upsetting to see them broken down in little fun sized pieces for the Wii.

No. Modern warfare 2 is just around the corner.I have W@W on ps3. I bought a ps3 for games like online shooters.I'm not saying Nintendo's MW will be bad,but i think it's just a waste of a port.I much rather a platformer or adventure games for the wii =)
