dito. mario party 8 didn't feature any cool wiimote-movements ... as if it was developed for the cube. so the next mario party 9 will include wiimotion plus...

Mario Party 8 was baaddd.

i liked it more than the gamecube ones bc it was a step in the right direction

The console Mario Parties have been going downhill since three, 7 for example, was atrocious.

DS was quite good though, I'd place it nearly in league with the first three, things that pulled it down, were garbage like Cheep-Cheep Chance, and stupid duels (randomly chosen wager, usually completely unfair, and often unrewarding to one player).
Minigame set was quite good, 2 was better though.

I feel Hudson has let the series get stale. I think they are running out of ideas. And I don't really need more characters, I'm Mario all the time anyway.

I have Mario Party 4-8. I didn't really agree with how often they were made, but I enjoyed them! I thought all of them had their own appeals and frustrations, but I think I'll stick with the 8th one and the DS one! Them being on the newest systems I feel likens them to fresh starts!

@MetalMario: Yeah, I feel like 10 Mario parties is enough. If there is a 9 however, I will buy it only if it has MP+.

No, by all means, make another one. Just don't let Hudson be the developer.

Same here, though the GCN ones were fun too! I also like MP8 more because it's on Wii, so it's like a fresh start!

If there is a mario party 9 (which i hope there is) it should include every single gameboard in it's history and actuallyhave a really strong story (unlike mp 8) It should include lots more characters and boards and be able to have more customisation parts to it. It should use the M+ and wii fit board
