Nintendo knows it sold based on being a freebie with the controller rather than being truly awesome. Maybe they'll make Wii Play 2 with Vitality Sensor support, lol.

j/k, But not really.
You really tihnk you could package ANY game with a controller for $10 more and have it sell 20 millon or whatever, hey?
Not likely, Also it sell used alone for like $15, depite being pretty common.....if Wii Play II came out for $20 I would buy it for sure.
'Nintendo Knows' - sure?
IGN: The holiday Wii lineup looks thin for the hardcore crowd. We see this. Gamers see this. What, if anything, is Nintendo planning to address it?
Oh good, I am neither a gamer or hardcore. Saves me from having to be IGNorant. Right, Down, A, Down, Right, Up
The reason its a top seller is because of the wiimote, the game really has little to do with it, its barely worth the £5, other than the tank game its just plain boring, even the cow racing gets old fast.

I think this game's sales were entirely driven by marketing. I would guess at least 25 percent of the sales occurred with, or within a week of, the purchase of a Wii console, when a sales associate told the purchaser that a second controller was necessary and that it could be purchased with another set of mini-games for an additional 10 bucks. In fact, I just bought a Wii as a birthday gift for my 70-year-old mother, and I bought Wii play so she would have a remote and an extra bunch of games. I would guess that maybe 25 percent of the sales were based on the purchaser's actual interest in one or more of the games.
Guys there is wii fit plus, so there is another "Wii" Sequal. Anyway what would you guys much rather have a Wii play sequal or a Wii Music sequal? You decide.
