For me, golf is the best option and has the most longevity as a one player game on WSR and is also probably the most serious of the 12 games in multiplayer mode. Saying that, it is still amazing fun to play with friends!
My best so far is -8 on nine hole classic and -4 on nine hole resort.
-8? Good lord!
I shot a -9 (63) on eighteen hole mode.

By the way it's possible to chip the ball straight into the hole without any bounces – my brother pulled off a long range chip which went straight in last night.
Looks like it's you and me on this thread. I did a 100-something-yard chip-in on the fly on 16 last weekend. My Classic record still stands at minus-8. But the above, man, that's great work. Tiger would be proud. How did you manage a deuce on 14?
I think that it could just be you and me on this yes! There may be some other players lurking out there somewhere. The thing I love about wii golf is that you can keep on playing it and playing it because your score can always be bettered, and in multiplayer it's awesome!
Like I say the albatross on hole 14 was a slice of luck really - just a long drive from the fairway towards the pin and in bounced about four times and rolled in. Chip-in shots are so satisying aren't they - I'd like to have seen your shot on 16.
Wow great scores! There's so much to the controls and there are so many different ways you can hit the ball...it's really hard to get consistently good negative scores.
Oh wait, this isn't Tiger 10..../stops paying attention

Haha, that is incredibly narrow minded. I am sure that Tiger is a far more detailed game with a lot of depth and definitely worth getting for golf fans that have a lot of time on their hands.
Thing is, for those golf fans who perhaps don't have time to play all day and night then this is a great alternative. I challenge you to play it for a decent amount of time and then come back in a few weeks and say that you still are not interested. I'm not saying this is better than Tiger, it just annoys me that people don't give it much of a chance.
I actually bought Tiger a few weeks before Wii Sports Resort. Best Buy had it ridiculously cheap. I haven't even played it yet because I want to concentrate on WSR golf. Like Swerd said, there's so much depth to it. I'm sure Tiger has it too, but the point is that WSR's 21 holes can be played a hundred times over with something new happening every time.
