Oh wow! I've been hoping Wii No Ma might make it to the west. Hopefully the DSi version will come soon after.

The name "Wii No Ma" makes me think of skin cancer though.

Can someone give a brief description here of what this channel is, and why we might be excited for it?

I believe it's something where you can download videos, shows, and stuff like that to you wii. Dokodemo wii no ma allows you to download them to your DSi. [did I mention that they are both free?]

Sounds neat, and hopefully this will actually work in Canada (unlike the NetFlix announcement, which is something I would like if it were available up here). Watching short videos on Nintendo Channel has been interesting and enjoyable... hopefully the quality of longer videos from Wii No Ma will be just a good.

I sort of always considered wii channels wiiware. It all makes sense now, though.

I'm not getting hyped cause this probably isn't gonna happen.

In japan you can use wii points ranging from 50-100pts for each video you want to see. Im not yet sure if you rent them or can re-watch it over and over forever like redownloading wiiware as many times as you want for free.

I am interested in the anime they will have available; In a video on youtube I watched I seen Pokemon Johto and Kirby episodes were available.
