  • Made from the ground up for the Wii
  • Stylised graphics influenced by graffiti/urban art
  • Introduces some interesting features ("tagging" your surroundings)
  • Deep car customisation
  • Quality Soundtrack
  • 4 player local multiplayer
  • Strong single player mode (makes up for lack of online IMO, to be honest I'd prefer no online as opposed to poor online which takes up disc space that could have been used for single player)
  • 5 different control styles (Wii remote & nunchuck, wii remote sideways, gamecube controller, classic controller & Wii wheel)
  • 60fps
  • Arcade racer (I'm not a fan of simulations)
  • Genuine effort has been put into this game

Anybody else looking forward to it?

I might rent this, althought I won't be buying this due to lack of online, I do root for it's success.

Just curious as to why no online is deal breaker for you, I grew up gaming since NES era, so I'm a little perplexed by lack of online features making games an instant "no buy" for those gaming today.

The NFS series has thusfar been a failure on the Wii. However, this wii specific game has piqued my interest. Its not an insta-buy, but a definate radar game. In other words, I need reviews

Well having the game online means you can play and compete with other people around the world. I grew up from the SNES era and I am more of a multiplayer person. There are just games that you have to have online to meet today's standards and this game is one of them.

You have to have it? I understand the replay value aspect of it. But are you honestly telling me that if a great (not saying this one is but its looking promising) offline game that had lots of single player options was released you'd pass it up simply because it didn't have online?

I have to say normally I could care less about this genre (the "ultra-realistic" in-car ads for the new games coming to PS360 are a big turn-off), but the couple of ads I've seen have definitely piqued my interest. The car damage aspects and customisation look kind of neat and remind me of Destruction Derby (DD2 is my favourite racer, hands-down) and the fact that it's EA doing their new serious ground-up stuff for the Wii a la Dead Space: Extraction is a big plus.
