Topic: Why Haven't they made a Mario anime yet?

I just became inactive on narutofan forums to start talking about anime here

Another instance of unearthing an off kilter topic from a decade ago...

It makes sense from an animation and story standpoint because every single episode can be Mario rescuing Peach, just in a different world with different stakes and different villains. Maybe one day Luigi'll take over and give Mario a breather. Maybe the Toads'll help out. Maybe Mario'll have a Mexican standoff between himself, Bowser and Waluigi.

Hmmm... on paper, it’s tantalizing. Pardon me if this sounds... disingenuous to the franchise, but I really would take any chance to see some development in these characters, even if it is strictly episodic.

Remember when Mario had cartoons, and even comics? While I didn’t grow up with them, I saw them on Youtube, and even snippets in Nintendo Power (remember that?). While I’d prefer some other franchises to get anime before Mario (Splatoon, Fire Emblem, even ARMS come to mind), Mario is certainly a viable option. But is Nintendo past this phase of doing everything under the sun with Mario? That’s the question...

@Neopolitan why settle for an anime when they are doing a big budget movie which comes out next year, it will probably be rubbish though.

Yeah, I don't have much hope for that movie. But that's a topic for another day. You know... when they actually, if ever, show something from it.

@KonoRobinMaskDa676 Not really as Ninty were talking to alot of Studios about a Mario movie such as Sony. According to those hack emails they were pretty close to getting it too.
