Anyone who doesn't get it doesn't deserve to be called a gamer. You wouldn't even be on this website if not for that little italian plumber.

Why are some people labeling this as a multiplayer game? I don't understand. You can play it on our own too, y'know, like you did with every Mario platformer before it. 0_o
I like it how some are like your not a gamer if you do not get this blah blah blah. LOL I know your joking and stuff but if someone is actually worried about being labeled a quote unquote a gamer then you need a life. Shhhhh.... But I am getting it as I earlier stated.........................

Not everyone is a Mario fanatic, Zelda brought me to Nintendo much more so than Mario, and I don't think I will be buying it, at least not on its release, it is a console version of the DS game after all, which while ok wasn't good enough to warrant owning 2 copies of, one handheld one console, which is why I'll wait it it out, see if after a while once the hype has died down if on reflection people deem it far superior to the DS version then I'll consider it, if the consensus is its equal to or not as good I'll stay clear of it.
The question should be who ISN'T getting the game! I, for one, have the game on the top of my "Must Buy for Christmas" list.

I'll get it, but probably not until I get back to the states next summer and secure myself a job. If the economy hasn't improved, from last year, and it takes me the same amount of time...it will probably be at least a year from now to buy it. One of the benefits of a backlog!
I am way too lazy to think of something clever. My Backloggery
Must say though, I had a few doubts. Didn't like the multiplayer option when it was announced, thought it would turn it from a proper platform game, ala Super Mario World, into some sort of lightweight party game. I've since been convinced though, that it is a proper singleplayer game, and has a multiplayer mode. I'm sure I'll like the multiplayer mode and get some use out of it, but if the single player game isn't up to Bros 3 and World standards it wont feel like a proper Mario game.
Also didn't like the kind code stuff either, until I started to read about the difficulty, and realised that it's probably a good addition, and not another lightweight party game addition.

1. It's not a port or a remake, it's a completely new game. 2. There are already reviews of it, and they're all good.
Even the DS version got rave reviews from what i remember from most sites, and its not really a new game its a continuation of the NSMB series, essentially a sequel, so I really don't consider it a new game anymore than SMG2 will be, new level layout and a few new trinkets but still a continuation of a prequel rather than a truly new game.
