...that the old games you play again now, are easier to complete than they were back in the day?

Zelda 3 took me a week to complete, while it took me a year back then, to find all secrets...

Recognizable! Also Super Probotector/Contra III takes me 8 minutes to complete, while it took me 9 minutes to complete back then... LOL

That has happened to me, to. That's because I have improved my gaming skills over the years. Plus, I have memorized all the parts I screwed up on before.

I'm back (for the moment)!

I'm pretty sure it's a common occurrence for all gamers...

"Don't make enemies, they'll stab your heart; don't make friends, they'll stab your back. Including me, including you, all men are trash. Don't love; don't be loved. Have nothing to do with other; live in isolation."

Yes, that is a key factor. I remember an article that was written by some people in 1994 that was based on Donkey Kong Country (that was released a month earlier). They declared that skills like timing and response are more increased by gamers, than non-gamers. However. They were unaware of the spiritual quality of these games back then. I, and i bet a lot of people beside me agree on the fact that games in the 90's had a certain spiritual quality to it compared to the games that are made nowadays. Not to declare all modern titles are 'spiritless' but it is one of the main motivations why a lot of people seem to eager back at the games that were made in the 90's...

Super Mario Bros used to be impossible for me (I would always get stuck towards the end). Now it's a piece of cake, and I can beat it in 45 minutes without really trying.

This is a Kid Icarus Wiki I created in late October. It has developed a lot in that time, but it still has a lot of room to grow. Any help you could provide (e.g. fixing typos) would be greatly appreciated!

I've experienced the opposite. For almost a decade there was a dearth of good 2D side-scrolling action games/platformers and my platforming skillz have decayed. Now I can't even finish the first level of Contra without dying.

This makes me very happy about the recent platformer revival though. I can brush up my skillz and with new games no less!
