If you play a game that supports it great, but the fact that it's an add-on hurts it massively. It seems to be a victim of the add-on nature of the online offering in the system. With a proper Wii Speak-enabled lobby for match-making I think it would work well. The Wii Speak Channel is decent enough, but very limited: you can only have something like a dozen friends enabled to speak with at a time and they also need to be running the channel, so you need to make a date to use the chat to arrange to play an online game - brilliant.

I ended up just deleting the Wii Speak Channel because it just wasn't that practical and I don't do enough online gaming. Whilst Conduit 2 will have a headset of some kind, I'd be surprised if that wasn't an optional bundle and Wii Speak support wasn't also built-in. If Goldeneye doesn't support Wii Speak, then I'd say it's time for me to eBay it!

Amen to that, brother. Hell, even if I want some FPS action, I'll stick to the real FPSes, like DOOM 1 and 2. And DOOM 4 can't come out soon enough.

Wii Speak is pretty useless I played The first Conduit and Monster Hunter 3 online for long periods of time and I still haven't found a single person who uses it aside from me and even if it did work every time someone else makes a sound in the room the Wii Speak will pick it up and annoy every person in the game.

Supposedly Conduit 2 will release with the headset and the ability to chat online without FCs. From what I heard, at least.

It may not be as good as the original, but frankly I don't trust High Voltage anymore. Plus the previews I've seen for GE have been positive so far.

IGN's preview wasn't very positive.
