Don't know what you are worrying about tbh, if EDGE gave it a 7, then that points to 8's from everywhere else (maybe a 7.9 from IGN).

I expect we'll see the bulk of mainstrean reviews start to show up next week. We are still a couple weeks out from release, right?

Nintendo Power already reveiwed NSMB, it was even on the cover.

Official Nintendo Magazine have reviewed NSMBWii, and gave it an amazing 96%! Surely it can't be that good?

If that score represented fun-factor, then yes, it probably does deserve it entirely.

Its also an entirely new game and not an upgraded version of the DS. I wrote a thread on this a few weeks back in this forum.

Edge does not suck, its a well respected magazine, you can't say any game deserves 10/10 until you have finished it for yourself, and official magazines have a vested interest in 1st party titles, so wouldn't trust their reviews at all, I'm sure it will be a decent game but its still essentially a sequel to the ok not great DS game, so not really a new game in that sense, doubt will be as good as the 2D games of old, but you never really know untill you try it for yourself.

Yea, that aint fair, EDGE is very well respected. The last few pages of that magazine are usually chock-full of game related vacancies, which suggest it's the magazine developers choose. ONM, whilst good, is a screenshot pamphlet, knocked together by massive Nintendo fans, who are in fact affiliated with Nintendo. Go figure.

I'd never trust a magazine with the horribly bland name of "Official Nintendo Magazine."

Nintendo Power, on the other hand, is pure win, historically speaking.

They are the same thing in effect, but yes, because of that awesome name, they win.

Probably not. That's just their fanboyism talking.

I don't think they reviewed it, they just had a long article about it. The review will probably come out in the next issue which comes out a week after the game does.
