I've only tried Hulu and as everyone else has noted, it does not work. I would love to think that I can watch online video content on my TV through the Wii (other than You Tube that is). Does anyone have any good sites that you visit using the Wii's internet channel? TV...Movies...Music...etc?
Wii Audio and Video Sites: Finetune for Wii - superb streaming radio and audio site tuned for the Wii Wiihear.com - another great streaming radio site WiiTube - youTube videos for the Wii SofaTube - another youTube site StumbleVideo - like Stumbleupon, but for Video
Wii Flash Games WiiCade - a great Wii games site, packed full of games WiiPlayable - flash games, sorted by category Wiislowdown - Videos and Games Albino BlackSheep Wii games - Wii compatible flash games
Other Wii links miiboard - Wii portal where you chat with other Wii users and swap codes MyWiiWeb - another Wii portal. Nice clean simple layout, reminiscent of the Wii Consoles own interface
PSN: TimMalouff - Wii FC: 8857 8848 6453 6344 Region USA
I use it for everything. My laptop broke a few years ago and I haven't gotten a new one...
"Sometimes isolation is a good thing, Razputin. It can lead to many important discoveries."--Sasha Nein, Psychonauts3DS FC: 2578-3212-7404Popy's Backloggery!
just normal internet sites: Google, Yahoo, Wikipedia, STINKING NintendoLife which I loathe, NintendoEverything is kind of better IMOA, GoNintendo, GameFAQs, GameStop, Amazon!
Favorite Song from The Crow City of Angels: I'm Your Boogie Man by White Zombie Favorite The Crow Quotes: "It can't rain all of the time!" "It's not a good day to be a bad guy, huh?!" "Victims, aren't we all!"
Just an FYI on WiiCade - Nintendo & Opera seem to have broken some stuff with the new version of the browser. Until I can find a way to unbreak it, some of the games won't work. On the bright side, Javascript games work splendidly. (Glad I've been pushing things in that direction!) So if you're looking for some great games to play, here are a few I can recommend:
Coverfire (Best with 2 Wii Remotes; written by yours truly) Replicator (Sort of like Robotron) Bust 'n Redzta (A fun platformer where you pop bubblewrap "pollution") DHTML Galaxian (It's Galaxian. 'Nuff said.) Pentriix (An online Tetris-like game.)
Wii Portal, I use this to save space in my favourites, as it has some useful links that would other wise clutter the favourites screen. Game sites, orisinal being my favourite. It also links to finetune which is an awesome service, I've spent many hours adding tunes and creating playlist's on the PC and can play them on the TV whenever I want, I really like the interface and presentation, and it can be a good way to discover music too. Then it's the obvious ones like mail and gaming websites (like that NintendoLife place), and my favourite site of all time, the BBC.
Up until yesterday I visited the BBC iPlayer to catch up on TV and radio shows I've missed, but sadly Nintendo broke it!!!
youtube.com orb (for streaming media from PC to Wii) nbrew.nl (Dutch homebrew site) hackmii.com (I think this explains itself) gbatemp.net (international homebrew site) Nintendolife - of course press.nintendo.com - for Nintendo-related news
I think that's it, so I mostly use it to see if there is any news.
For streaming I prefer using the homebrew mplayer. Plays internet streams and plays most files shared on your pc with no problem. Orb is good for certain media mplayer can't play like some high quality h.264 files. Its a good fairly easy to set up solution for people who don't want to delve into homebrew.
