Topic: What games would you like to see ported to WiiWare?

Few rules:
1- The game should be more than a 'rebirth' title. A game which could not feasibly be put on the Virtual Console, but could appear on WiiWare. For example, PlayStation/Dreamcast/Gamecube games, games with complex controls that could be adapted for the Wiimote, etc.
2- Don't bother suggesting games that are clearly owned by Sony or MS
3- Keep storage space in mind. We'd all love to have a Super Smash Bros. Brawl channel, but we also all know that it's not going to fit in the fridge.
4- Some games should be full, retail Wii games. WiiWare title is for smaller, cheaper games that suit it.

Personally, my list, in approximate order from most want on down:
Ikaruga -- Should be able to fit in right around the size barrier as a full title.
Typing of the Dead -- Always wanted to try this, WiiWare would be a great match for its kind of wacky fun. Wii supports USB keyboards.
Chu Chu Rocket -- Should be simple enough. Customizable levels + online trading yes prz.
Space Harrier -- Keep the same awesome formula, but allow the player to aim with the Wii remote while moving with the joystick.

Well. Uh. I didn't realize they were all SEGA or DC games, but there you go I suppose? Anyone else?

One game and it's shenmue.

Well maybe split into parts, because of the size issues

Ikaruga is too big I'm afraid... It's over 100MB on XBLA...

Shenmue 1&2 are probably coming out in the fall as a disc title if rumors are to be believed.

However, I would really like to see a DOOM game, or some other 64-ish shooter. With new onlines modes, of course.

...please see Rule 3. Shenmue took three GDROMs for the storyline alone, plus the Passport disk. it's at least three or four times too large to even fit on the Wii's internal memory, let alone into WiiWare's size restrictions. I doubt you could even store the data needed for all of the things that (can) happen before you leave the Hazuki residence into 40-50 MB. You might as well ask for the Beatles discography on an 8-track.

Chatham: Uh, the Xbox LIVE Marketplace website lists Ikaruga as 49MB. I'm pretty sure the dreamcast version is even smaller. It might need to have things held back a bit, but it could be made to fit on WiiWare just fine.

Final Fantasy, not crystal chronicles

I would like to see Tombi and Crazy Taxi on WiiWare. Crazy Taxi is maybe too big?

I would also like to see Advance Wars on WiiWare. Being a GBA game it wouldn't be eligible for VC.

@TC: You want Chu Chu Rocket, hm? Well then, let's just say that certain developments coming soon will have you intrigued.

FF and Sonic would both not be ports. CowLaunch, I'd prefer to see Gameboy added as a console, but yeah that works. And Crazy Taxi as released on consoles would be too large, but they might be able to port a much stripped down version (only one city, no crazy box, maybe fewer drivers and customers, etc.)

Advance Wars wouldn't be a port either.

Port = / = Remake.

Sure it could be. If they don't make a GBA emulator, but they reprogram Advance Wars to run natively on WiiWare, that would be a port. FF wouldn't be a port, because it would either be on VC (as it is now), or an entirely new game. Sonic 4 wouldn't be a port, as it would also be a new game.

Not sure if it would fit the catergories or not, but I really would like to see Bionic Commando Rearmed.

I always wanted a wiiware version of Final Fantasy Tactics. I reaaly thought it would work really well with a small single player campaign that could be supplimented with additional DLC for additional missions and locations (similar to My Life as a King) but also with online multiplayer.
Seeing as it isnt a RTS it would work really well over Nintendo wifi as you wouldnt notice any lag whatso ever and with the options of traditional controls or IR controls I would imagine it would be as good, if not better than the GBA / DS versions.

I'd die happy if Sega took a cue from capcom and made a "Sonic the Hedghog 4" with all the classic glory!

There was already a Sonic the Hedghog 4, it was just called "Sonic & Knuckles"...unless you were refering to a port of Sonic and Knuckles in which case I do appologise.

@ Chicken,
Believe it or not if they really tried they could fit that into 44mb.
.kkreiger was 96kb (!!!) and it had XBOX-1 standard graphics - good for the time.

However the Wii would need about 6gb of RAM and a 3.5ghz quad-core with about 16mb L2 for that to work, or VERY long load times. And probably a 4870.

Anyway, I would like Ikaruga on DS more than WiiWare, but a WiiWare Metroid Multiplayer (y'know, the one missing from Prime 3) would be good, but probably more than 44mb. That or StillAliveDS (it's a homebrew).

A cr*pload of old Konami Arcade games would be good ported to wiiware such as the old simpsons arcade game and the turtles arcade game (I think they are doing the last one anyway)

Basically all the old, classic pc games that would benefit from a pointer interface: I would like many of the scumm engine games/sierra adventure games, Star Control 2, system shock, crusader no remorse/regret
