@SepticLemon That's why I love Goldeneye Source. The community is small and doesn't have any 14-year-old boys that cuss every second they can, the maps and guns do feel different enough that you'll find your personal favorites in no time, and some of the game modes are pretty cool compared to many of the "full-blown" modes in big-budget games. Oh, and did I mention it's FREE as long as you have Steam with a Source Engine game?

Still... IMO FPS games are too popular, not saying their bad, but jesus christ I know some people won't play games that aren't in First Person... I'd love to see what happens in about 10 years time, because I have a hunch that the maniacal craze of FPS games are going to die really soon and people will jump onto the next best genre, what ever it is, still, it'll mean that I'll be sick of that genre pretty quick too, lol.
@SepticLemon I highly doubt it will die due to the fact that the FPS is basically the sole reason why the idea of "Casual Gaming" exists. However, I am interested to see what will happen when people get sick of them.

Well, this is how I see it...
70's had the Pong craze
80's had the arcade craze
Early 90's had the Platformer and mascot craze
Late 90's had the Pokemon/Monster catching RPG craze
Late 90's to now has the FPS Craze, and I reckon that soon there'll be a new craze that'll make me sick to my teeth, lol.
@SepticLemon ...umm...the FPS craze has lasted much longer than any of those other crazes. I'd say it's got a pretty good chance of not dying. But y'know, each to his own...I think...

I'm wondering why the Wii needs a "We haz teh hardcore gamez 2!" trailer.
Well at least it's not like the majority of 360 commercials I've seen...
does his Hollywood announcer voice "Is the Summer! Its open season now that Xbox and sony are attacking Nintendo for its userbase. Expect alot of hardcore games from now on. I dont even think Nintendo cares if they all fail. They are pissed
