Topic: VC Games you can play with the DDR Pad

Some VC titles can be played with the DDR pad such as Super Mario Bros. and the Leged of Zelda. This makes these games much more difficult but also fun to mess around with. Post VC games that you can play with the DDR pad, games you have beaten with the DDR Pad, or how far you got. I have never beaten a game with it but beat the first level of SMB and the first dungeon of TLOZ.

Who are you running from? (?_?)/
someday there will be a cactus pokemon, that is actually good.
(O vvv O)/ add me if you want to play KI:U, or ACNL, OR Pokemon

A lot of gamecube games also are possible to play in this mode. I recommend you a lot to play Megaman Collection or Megaman X Collection in this way, they are impossible

It sounds like it would be tricky to do. I have the megaman collection for gamecube and will see how far I get. I have Megaman X on the VC, does anyone know if that works with the ddr pad? I would check but my Wii won't be hooked up until my TV is fixed.

Yes, the Dance Dance Revolution pad is connected to the gamecube connectors in the wii and it works with all DDR games for Wii and also for the DDR Mario Mix. The pad has the traditional 4 pad buttons, and the A and B buttons, it is like a big Nes controller and all VC games that uses 2 buttons can be played with the pad and also all gamecube games that uses 2 buttons, ever if them uses more buttons but you can only use 2 buttons. For example you can play Soul Calibur II but you can´t use the kick or vertical attack. This only works with games what uses the directional pad. If you want to play Mario Sunshine or similars you can´t because you need a stick.

This way of enjoy games is very weird but i fun. You can try it with a lot of games. Imagine to play Street of Rage or maybe Ristar in this way. The "easy" ones could be Castlevania or Megaman.

Someone should try playing Ghosts 'N Goblins on the Virtual Console Arcade with the DDR mat. That would be a real big challenge.

Or blaster Master.

Oh wait, the stupid frog gives you nightmares if you are too slow.

Forget DDR Pad, try playing DKC trilogy with the DK Bongos, and if DK64 comes out on wiis VC ever, play that with the Bongos as well

You are right. You can also play retro games with the DK Bongos. It could be a real challenge, more than the dance pad.
