Topic: Twilight Princess question...

So I'm finally playing Twilight Princess. I've had it since I got the Wii 4 years ago but hadn't really played it much. Anyway, I'm playing now and enjoying it so far. I just have a question. When I was in the Forest Temple, any time I would save, quit, and come back, I would be set at the entrance of the temple which wasn't really a big deal since it wasn't all that big of a place. Well now I'm in Death Mountain and have gotten quite far. The problem is, I want to quite for now but don't know if they're gonna put me back at the entrance when I turn it back on. That would be a huge pain in the butt since I've sunk about 45 minutes into this place. So will they throw me back to the beginning if I quit or just back to the entrance of the room I'm currently in?

In all Zelda games, after saving in a dungeon, you are sent to the entrance of the dungeon

Well that kind of sucks. I can see where that would work for a dungeon where you have to constantly back-track rooms to solve puzzles (like the forest temple) but this one just seems like you have to just keep moving forward. Well I guess I've got to finish this then. Thanks for the answers

In most of them, there's also a way to get back where you were quickly. I'm guessing he didn't find Ooccoo.

@bboy2970: In each dungeon, look for a shaking pot.

@bboy2970 It's not that hard. I kept my save at that temple for a while (cause I loved the boss fight) It doesn't take long to get where you need to.

shaking pots are your friend

I'm just like, I just, I know, it's bad
But I'm just like
Can I just like, hang off the back of your horse
And can you go a little faster?!

Oh, I found Ooccoo. Can you warp to the entrance, save, leave the game, come back, and still have Ooccoo saving your location in the dungeon? Because if so, that makes it a little better. Regardless, I beat the dungeon (Aviator: that was a great fight!) and got a chance to save

If you think that boss was great, just wait until you fight the boss at the sky temple O.o That boss is my fave of all time.
IT'S THE BEST BOSS FIGHT OF ALL FREKKIN TIME!

I think you need Oocoo Jr. to warp back to the original location. Oocoo just gets you out of there.

It's a real bummer in Twilight Princess to have to start at the beginning of the temple because they're so enormous in this game. Phantom Hourglass and Spirit Tracks really improved upon that, as there were a lot of ways to access shortcuts when you got to certain points in the dungeon.

I also noticed that. The dungeons in the DS games were very intelligently designed so that it wasn't really a set back to start at the entrance. Something like the Death Mountain dungeon in TP would have been a total pain in the butt to have to re-trace everything. Especially because i fell in the lava quite a few times... Hopefully Skyward Sword will improve this.

The Mines are designed so that it's easy to get back to where you were. Every time you come back to that central location, you'll be able to activate a new magnet lift. So you should be able to come in from the entrance and get to wherever you need to be using those lifts.

The water temple is also pretty similar - once you've re-activated the flow of water, there's no need to go back in that section of the map any more. Most dungeons have some sort of hub room so that navigating from the entrance should be a simple task.

And, of course, Ooccoo is awesome and allows you to leave the dungeon for an indefinite amount of time, do whatever you want on the outside (such as spending rupees so you don't leave 10 treasure chests unopened), then come back to the same spot when you're ready.
