IS the new wiiware game toribash going to be good? Will it be a flop? is the online going to be awesome or lame? IS it worth 1000 points? WIll it be hit? will you get it? Dicusss the game here.

I got it. It's almost exactly like the PC version, but I prefer this wiiware version (the pc version is laggy on my computer). The online works well, and the controls work fine for the most part. There are also customization options for you character. I don't think this is worth 1000 points exactly, unless your a big fan of the PC version. I also noticed the small file size for the game (only 91 blocks, even with the online mode!) There are also ways for you to save you match replays and even send them to you wii friends. The gameplay takes awhile to learn, since it is mostly physics based fighting, but the biggest worry is trying not to get a disqualification by stepping out of the ring. There is also local 2 player options, and a single player mode along with the online mode (friend roster included).

Overall, it's very entertaining, but takes awhile to get use to using the combat system. The online is great, and the ability to send replays can add to replay value. Personally, I think this should be worth 800 points or less, but 1000 points isn't something to fuss over.

@irken is there a training mode? To show how to play?

There is a tutorial, which shows you how to jump, spin, and operate your characters. The single player is basically a training mode, but you can set your opponent's moves as well.

Can you fight against the computer?

Haven't tried yet. I went from some training and jumped into the online mode

I think that is the decision for me. I want to at least have ai opponents to fight against before I jump online. I may ask you for your fc here if I get it. Btw, my wii's fc changed (loooong story) so I am going to update it in my sig

By Wii friends do you mean people on the Wii message board or just people who have the game?

I haven't tried it yet, but the game has an inbox, so I assume it's only for those who have the game.

I don't think so, but you CAN change the color of it.

@gaminguy I didn't notice a shop, but there are things that you can use to customize you character, such as hairstyles.

I don't know about this one. I love fighting games but turn based? How does that work? You mean like some RPGS? Most of the time I like my fighting games to be fast paced. With Toribash everything looks like it's in slow mo. A little like the Matrix. I admit it looks kinda cool but hmmm. (Scratches chin)

It is turn based... kinda. It's hard to describe, which is why I recommend trying the PC version from the link I posted earlier in this thread. It's a bit more fast paced than one may usually think though.

There are a lot of pretty obvious reasons.
