there's no way to say one game is better than all the others with a lineup like this. sin and punishment 2 is a complete masterpiece, by far the purest action game i've ever played. other m was a groundbreaking game years ahead of it's time, and i'm sure it'll seem a lot more important to people once those mechanics show up in other games. cave story was by far the best thing to happen to wiiware, especially after the patch. goldeneye has amazing replayability and gets a lot of credit for being the first great wii FPS (and it only took 4 years). i haven't finished donkey kong yet, but it seems to be the very best sidescroller made since the SNES days. mario galaxy 2 is probably the most rounded and generally best all around if you had to choose just one, but it's far from my favorite this year.
long story short: everyone's a winner. lots of great games offering lots of very different things. can you imagine if zelda had made it this month too? lawsuits for ruined eyeballs, i imagine.

Repeating Monster Hunter Tri pawns all wii games in this world.

Probably not THE best but definitely one of the best; Trackmania.
Firebrand and Focus Home Interactive went way beyond what they needed to to provide us with a content, and feature packed, game and honestly what they managed to do has put publishers like EA to shame, especially when it comes to the online portion.

As of right now, I'd say Endless Ocean 2:Blue World. Metroid: Other M and Kirby's Epic yarn are both on the way, and either could easily take the top spot.

Totally agree. I would say the Wii lineup really matured this year, and received some really polished gems in nearly every genre that showed off the systems capabilities.
Awesome 2D platformers like Kirby's Epic Yarn and DKCR.
The first year of good FPS games on Wii - Goldeneye and Black Ops (a pared down port, but not a lazy, sloppy one by any means).
MH3 truly shows what the Wii is capable of online, if only devs and Nintnedo let it work.
Sin and Punishment 2 - yet another reason for super hardcore gamers to own a Wii.
Great fighter in TvC
Mario Galaxy 2 being all that is Mario 3D platforming goodness. Also the first good 3D Sonic game in years.
Red Steel 2 paving the way for future M+ experiences.
This has really been a great year for Wii, as it's really the first year we've seen so much awesomeness in so many genres, espeically with so many top games coming from 3rd parties. 3rd party gems have been few and far between (and really haven't gotten the sales they deserve), but hopefully this year changed that.
I am way too lazy to think of something clever. My Backloggery
I'm really pleased to see a number of people voting for Sin & Punishment 2. I always feel like its one of those games that slips under the radar but it really is brilliant and there is nothing like it on any other console. Definitely my favorite game of 2010.
Overall it was a great year for Wii games. Super Mario Galaxy 2, Goldeneye, Red Steel 2, Monster Hunter 3, Tansunoko Vs Capcom, Kirby's Epic Yarn (Except in Europe) and Donkey Kong Country Returns.
