So what are you guys' impression on Tatasunoko Vs. Capcom? I bought my copy but I haven't played it yet as I have some school work to do for my masters program that is very important, so I shall give it a go before hitting the bed later on in the night and I shall post back tomorrow morning at work as what I think about the game. I saw the N|L review and I must say a good review!
I like it, but it's a bit difficult. I haven't played a game like this in ... well ... ever. So I'm trying to get a handle on it. The Hyper Combos are a bit of a pain to execute with the Classic Controller (in my hands at least) making me wish I had a fight stick, but I'm holding off for now. Overall, great game, just a bit hard for me.

Same with me. Everyone seems so..."clunky" in the way they move, but I'm gradually getting used to it. (Though there's no way I'll be able to move like the people online.... o_o)

Definitely it takes some getting used to. They are Clunky like @Dezner said but the combo is system is pretty easy to pull off. So far it seems like my combination is Batsu and Ruy, and in MvC 2 it was Spiderman, Wolverine, and Ruy.
Time to call it a night for as I need to wake up early, but I will sure be playing it more tomorrow evening!
Keep it up, the experience will be better when you mastered a character for a more lasting appeal with online play making that forever... on top of trying out different characters to eventually master if desired.
But hey, I don't have the game yet. The only fighting series I've taken seriously is Super Smash Bros. (sans Brawl), so I lack the hardcore experience of Street Fighter variations and have only played Mortal Kombat casually a long ass time ago. I've played and own Soul Calibur II but I suck real bad at it that it's beyond my comprehension to master.
So, can I really enjoy Tatsunoko Vs. Capcom? I don't know. It's been getting flashy review scores and it does help that it's in retro style, I suppose, and that online is executed better than Brawl from what I read. It just sounds like a game I'd really like to try and master. Can't say no to worldwide matches in a good quality game.
Yeah, as much as I hate to do this, I'm going to have to sit in Training Mode for awhile and just practice those moves. Moving the joystick on the CC in a half circle is a bit more difficult than I expected. I'm also thinking that even if I am a bit more methodical (which initially will slow me down) with my moves, rather than button mashing ... I may be better served. Tekkaman doesn't fly across the screen so setting up a move may not be as difficult to execute as I'm making it out to be. We shall see.

You may have better luck with the Dpad - I haven't had any problems with going through the motions on it (though I am pretty well versed in playing SFII and SFA2 with it). I imagine the CC stick makes it far too easy to accidentally jump.

The D-pad on the CC controller works like a charm, I don't bother with the joystick at all when I am playing fighting games. I also need to use the training mode and learn the moves and combos of different characters.
I have this game already and it is great! I'm really enjoying it. I personally use the GC controller since I don't have a classic controller yet and to my surprise it works like a charm. The control scheme for the GC controller is very comfortable and responsive. Usually I don't like analog control on fighting games but it seems to work well for this one, at least when using the GC controller.

Really @MagmaShishio? I should give the GC controller a try then. If you are thinking about getting the classic controller then I would hold out for the classic controller pro, which is going to be released sometime in April.
Yep motang. You should give it a shot. And I was planning on holding out for the pro. I plan on getting the monster hunter tri bundle. Can't wait for that. Between Tatsunoko and monster hunter capcom is treating us great this year with wii stuff.

No kidding. I was thinking about it this morning - in the last month, I've bought SFA2 (VC), Phoenix Wright (WiiWare), Dark Void Zero (DSi), and TvC. All my money are belong to Capcom this month.

You know what I thinking the same as well, getting the Monster Hunter bundle. I also feel Capcom is treating us well this year and also Ubisoft, I will be picking up NMH 2 next month and anxiously waiting for Red Steel 2!
Yeah I forgot I bought Dark Void Zero last week, that's a fun game!
I may give the GC controller a try. Using the WiiMote on the simplified control scheme worked on allowing me to execute the special moves, but I'm not sold on it. If I really improve on this game, I will eventually buy an X-Arcade stick. They come with a lifetime warranty and the single user stick is only $20 more than the Mad Catz stick. Of course, it's out of stock until March so that will give me time to hone my skills.

I haven't heard of the X-Arcade stick, but after looking it up that is some serious stuff. Will it count as two controller? Man I can see it now, the arcade stick propped up, and you stand a couple of feet away from a 50" LCD TV and you have yourself an awesome setup...err...arcade setup!
Interesting comment from Seth Killian interview about matchmaking: players who disconnect without completing ranked matches that they are losing will have their account flagged. The more flags a player receives, the more often that player will be matched with others that do the same thing. Sounds like a good system if the code works.
@ejamer yeah it does, that is one thing I hated when I played Brawl online and SF 4 online at my buddy's house. I am glad them implemented something like that.
Is the online stable, lag-free? No hassle in matchmaking, etc.?
Stable so far, but I haven't played at peak hours yet. 2 out of the 6 matches have had a touch of lag, but I think has more to do with individual's connections. Matchmaking can take a minute. An interesting feature is that once you have friends registered, it will show whether they are online or not. That's pretty nice.
The "Ranked" matchmaking has been pretty whack so far. I keep getting matched up against people who are Ranked in the Top 10 with 100s of wins already, which doesn't exactly seem on par with my level (0), and they are of course, beating me to a pulp.
