Thank you! Finally! The Virtual Console is getting a bit more support. I'd love to see Mario Kart - it's the only game I care about coming out really, but I'd much, much rather see good games like these being released rather than nothing.
But will it have the lock-on games for people who also have Sonic 2 and/or Sonic 3?

Wow I hope Nintendo stick to this release date, I will forgive them for the baron spell we have had in the EU recently. S&K was always my favorite Sonic game and it will give me a reason to buy Sonic 1 & 3 on the VC even though I have them for my megadrive.
it is the sequel to sonic 3 and had a top that could allow one the other sonics to lock itself onto it and play the game with knuckles and extra features.(2+3) But sonic 1 could not be playable with knuckles due to color pallete issues and instead had an expansion to the blue sphere special stages in sonic 3(and in sonic and knuckles) and contained over one million different levels. I hope this makes sense.
And SEGA continues to spit in the faces of those of us who bought Sonic's Ultimate Genesis Collection by offering lock-on in every release of the games BUT that disc.
