According to my local Gamestop when I put a $10 deposit on SS, the cashier said that Skyward Sword is getting a Gamestop exclusive level and weapon. I was pretty surprised that Nintendo is "supposedly" doing this for the game. Has anyone else heard about the extras?
this seems interesting, but is probably fake. One gamestop told a guy they were going to give out Majoras Mask 3D with a pre order of Zelda oot 3D... so I've learned not to take them seriously.
Sounds unlikely, and it probably wouldn't work well in a Zelda game. You would use the exclusive item in the exclusive dungeon, but the rest of the game wouldn't have any puzzles that used it.
That sounds more like something that would happen for a Xbox 360 or PlayStation 3 game. Besides, I believe Nintendo wants to show all Zelda fans every dungeon/level, meaning they won't limit other ones to those who pre-order the game. If there was a bonus, it would probably be a poster, a T-shirt, a hat, or the Golden Wii Remote Plus.
Golden Wiimotes are nice but not as nice as when we pre-ordered Wind Waker and got Ocarina of Time Master Quest thrown in for free. I'd be happier if they'd bundle in the Wii Remote Plus for free, but they'll probably just add more money onto the total cost. That doesn't make it seem such a good deal.
Yeah I could care less about the golden WiiMote. Why not offer a bundle with a game guide for SS. I usually acquire one everytime I buy a Zelda game anyways. For situations like the Water Temple, in OoT. And from what I've seen and heard, this installment should be the largest and most in depth Zelda ever made. A game guide might be a good idea to include with this title. But Earthbound was the only made for Nintendo rpg, I've ever seen to be offered in a bundle with a guide.
I'm not sure of this, but I recall after Nintendo announced the OoT soundtrack, they mentioned the Zelda orchestrated concerts and a cd of this concert. My guess is that this CD will be given away to early registrants like with OoT 3D.
I hope there will be more of a physical pre-order exclusive as opposed to a virtual pre-order exclusive. I'd like something like a figurine of that fellow who Link is fighting at the end of the trailer for Skyward Sword or a figurine of the Penguin fellow shown earlier in the trailer or Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword trading cards even.

I would call GameStop’s corporate headquarters and complain when you hear things like that. They should not be blatantly lying to valued customers.

Ha, yeah right.An exclusive level? Maybe in their dreams!
Well, a lot of advertisements for Gamestop have been saying you get bonus content for pre-ordering what they call "The Best of E3" titles. Maybe this guy thought it fell into that category, confused it with another game, or is just being sarcastic like a lot of the employees at my Gamestop are.

Well I waited until the last minute but I still couldn't find any special offers for pre ordering Skyward Sword. Did anyone here get a sweeter deal than $70 for the Skyward Sword bundle?

Hey don't knock the pre-order. It's alredy going for around 150$ on amazon and the like.
