"....... the steering wheel support and motion control. Mario Kart has set the bar for motion control on the Wii so our goal as a developer is to make sure our motion control works as well as Mario Kart because that's what people expect"
This is a quote from the makers of Sonic and Sega All Star Racing game from an interview they gave to ONM. For me, if the motion controls (ie. "steering wheel style") are good, the Wii version will be the best version of the game IMHO. You can keep your extra characters and vintage controller gameplay.
Hopefully, the motion controls are better than Mario Kart Wii. I don't think they were sensitive enough in that game. You can make much quicker turns with a GameCube controller.
Ash: Professor Oak, how's your Bulbasaur?
Prof. Oak: Oh, it only hurts when I sit.
...
Prof. Oak: It's only Chansey if Krabby won't let go. Bye, now.
Ash: I don't think I'm going to call him anymore.
Just got my copy of ONM this morning, both games got the same score (I forget exactly what now though, either 75% or 85%). Listed forgettable courses and a flat multiplayer as its low points, but said that the controls were very tight and that its a good alternative when you're bored of Mario Kart. Pretty much same points applied for the DS version, too.
