I apologise if this has been covered in another thread, and if so could you post the link......
I am looking for some recommendations for Wii RPGs....suggestions? In addition, how about DS/3DS RPGs?
*Note: I am in Australia- so there may be slightly more limited choice....

Is Xenoblade being/has been released in Australia? If so, that.
As for DS games: Get Radiant Historia and The World Ends With You. The former is pratically the new Chrono Trigger and the latter makes JRPGs cool and fresh again.
Muramasa Monster Hunter Tri Sakura Wars Rune Factory Fragile Dreams Lost in Shadow (might be called A Shadow's Tale where you are) Arc Rise Fantasia Zelda Skyward Sword Okami Xenoblade
Xenoblade chronicles got released on 1st September in Austrailia. @Gamesake The legend of Zelda: Skyward sword and Okami are adventure games and how is A shadow's tale (European name for Lost in shadow) an rpg? Thats a puzzle platformer.

That about sums it up. And while you're at it get Chrono Trigger for DS, classic classic classic.
So arguments aside as to what constitutes an RPG.... I have The World Ends With You, all the Mario & Luigi titles, I have Rune Factory, and Skyward Sword...again, not going to comment on status as an RPG on any of them, just wanted to point out that I own these titles...but good suggestions
I will have to get a copy of Xenoblade for sure! I am on holidays, and need some games to get me through it.....
@Viewtiful_Joe - Great link by the way! had a quick peek will be spending extensive time on it today I still prefer actual testimonials however...I have been burned before!

Okami has a battle screen and experience points. Skyward Sword has item crafting, inventory management, and multiple love interests. As for Lost in Shadow, I'd call it a puzzle platformer too, but if Faxanadu on the VC can be classified as an action RPG, why not Lost in Shadow?

Okay, maybe it is fair to call Okami an rpg then but the elements you mentioned for Skyward sword aren't enough to call it an rpg. Resident evil games have item crafting and inventory management but they're survival horror games and Harvest moon games have multiple love interests and inventory management and they're life simulation games.
Wikipedia has Harvest moon as a "farm simulation role-playing video game".
I think genres overlap so much it's hard to place some games into a definitive category. Nobody for example is ever going to argue that Dragonquest or Final fantasy aren't RPG games (Hey! there are some DS role-playing games that haven't been mentioned yet!) but Zelda... people WILL debate.
If you can get virtual console games there's Paper Mario for Nintendo64 and (i think) Mario RPG for snes. For DS there's all the Dragon Quest remakes, some Final fantasy games (the titles of which I can't remember), Etrian Odyssey if you like first person RPG games where you crawl though dungeons (or forests as the case may be), and Pokemon.
If you're connected to the internet, then your choices are manifold. Final Fantasy, Final Fantasy II, Final Fantasy III, Chrono Trigger, Ys: Book 1 & 2... the list goes on.
For retail games, I'll give you a pretty decent, very charming and super cheap RPG no one else will mention: Opoona.
Excellent suggestions people! have much searching to do now, to chase them up...

As a fellow Australian Reenie, unfortunately I find that a fair bit of online shopping is required to track down a lot of games (especially at a reasonable price).
EB Games doesn't stock a very good range of games in my opinion, and while JB Hi-Fi is OK, you'll still be lucky to find any games more than a year or so old unless they are absolute top-sellers. I live in Adelaide and there's a local import store that carries a lot of games that we wouldn't normally get in Australia, but apart from that I frequent Play Asia and eBay to track down some harder-to-find titles.
Also, if you have an original-model Wii, don't forget that it can play Gamecube games. With a small set-up cost to buy a memory card and gamepad, that opens up even more options. For example, you can grab games like Baten Kaitos, Skies of Arcadia, Tales of Symphonia and Paper Mario. However, expect to fork out at least $50-$60 for the last few if you want to get them with a manual and a case - such is the collector's market, unfortunately.
I used to have a blog link here. I'll put it back up when the blog has something to read.
Little King's Story isn't really an RPG (it's more like a heavenly fusion of of Pikmin, ActRaiser and Harvest Moon), but it has some vague SRPG elements, so I'm throwing it in here anyway.
For DS, the quality RPG options are nearly limitless. Radiant Historia, Mario & Luigi's Inside Story, Chrono Trigger, Dragon Quest V, Pokemon HeartGold/SoulSilver, Pokemon Black/White, Suikoden Tierkreis and Final Fantasy IV are all excellent. And that's just a sliver of the RPG selection.
