Am I the only one in the world who absolutely loves Twilight Princess? I would even dare to say it is my favorite of the series.
Ocarina was for the longest time but Twilight makes it seem very small and confined.
I like a Zelda game to be long and full of things to do. Ocarina can be finished in less than 10 hours. Twilight did not dissapoint in this area. Plus I really like the darker theme and more serious tone.
I may be alone in my love for Twilight but that's my opinion and I'm sticking to it.

I share your thoughts to the letter, to be quite honest.

Just started another playthrough. After 565 hours of Monster Hunter Tri, the graphics on TLoZ:TP seem kind of dated, though, as well as Link's walking/running animations.

I'm glad that giant Spider wasn't in the game.

I hate spiders and anything that look like it. Then again...

Killing it with the Master Sword would be satisfying...

There's a big Spider like boss in Spirit Tracks that looks kinda similar to the one in the beta version of Twilight.
Maybe they decided to put it there instead.

Could be a distant relative don't you think?

I would love to see "Director's Cut" Zelda re-releases where they put some of this stuff back in. I'd love to see the dungeon they cut from Wind Waker, for example.

Twilight Princess was a good Zelda game, but it was missing something.
At the time I was playing Twilight Princess, and Fable 2.
And I was comparing the two games alot,
Twilight Princess has a great gameplay, and big towns but, it felt so empty.
The people were life-less,and boring, and there was no reason to talk to them again.
Unlike Fable 2, where everything talks, was lively, and had personality.
Maybe if Twilight Princess had more side quest or side story, with the poeple in town or village, then the main quest.
You never have any reason to stay at the town because there was nothing to do there,
all you were left with, is the only the Main quest.

For you, the day LordJumpMad graced your threads, was the most important day of your life. But for me, it was Tuesday.

Oh, THAT spider, yeah I remember seeing that. Strange that they cut it out, it could've been a good way to begin the intro for the Temple of Time boss rather than it sitting on top of the ceiling. :3

Also, in the video JumpMad posted, I see Link diving in his normal armor, correct me if I'm wrong but you can only dive in the Zora armor right? Seems a lot was taken out of the original concept.

I remember quite a few review sites giving this game a full 10/10, even GameTrailers gave it a 9.7 out of 10 and every other game from 2006 onwards hasn't beaten GT's score for TP, not even the CoD games.

@komic It probably is about the same, I think what makes it look bigger is because Link looks tiny and the cramped environment closes in on it to make it look bigger.

They both look the same size to me....
I dunno, guess it would've been fun running through a tunnel being chased by that thing, except I'll get nightmares from it. xD
Maybe in Skyward Sword...

I got scared of that piano in the haunted mansion level of Super Mario 64, as well as Chain Chomp leaping at the screen. I got really excited when I saw the piano and ran to it- only for it to leap at me. I died a little inside, yeah and quit the level. Then, my brother was playing the game and I wanted to watch. So, I did. I saw chain chomp and thought it was cute.. but also scary. When it just stopped for 2-3 seconds, I did not expect it to leap at Mario.

You can bet I ran out that room. And I was only 5 years old. If I played Twilight Princes at that age and had to fight a huge spider chasing after me in the game, I'd probably not even play the game ever again until I'm like 10 or something.

Glad I didn't get a chance to reach Deadhand in OoT. I would have lost plenty of sleep, thinking deadhand would creep into my room and his hands reaching to me on my bed- god no...

I'd wonder how a kid would react to the creepy cutscene (you won't forget it if you saw it. If you somehow did, just youtube "twilight princess creepy cutscene" ). I could definitely see myself getting nightmares if I was that age.

@KingMike: Do you mean the one that plays when you enter the boss room in Snowpeak Ruins? It didn't even startle my eight year old cousin. Maybe a few years earlier it would have.

I've never had a more hopeless and "dark" sense in a Zelda game then when stepping out of the Temple of Time in Ocarina of Time for the first time as an adult.
While I appreciate the effort Nintendo made to make a more Mature Zelda game, Nothing yet has topped stepping back into the world you saved, to see that the villain has actually won. It's not "Oh, the bad guy is really close to taking over the world, you must intervene" and you never see the "What if he won?" side of things like in just about every game ever.
Ganondorf won, he got the Triforce, he corrupted Hyrule, and has maintained dominance for 7 long years, meaning he's on top of everything, and he's ready. Your first instinct is to see Hyrule Castle, only to find out it's now Ganondorfs floating fortress. He's untouchable. So Hyrule Castle is destroyed, Ganondorf's unreachable in his fortress, Death Mountain is beyond fubar, and the whole land is corrupted. All because you gave him the Triforce on a silver platter, which technically means you caused all this damage to the land you're trying to save.
Talk about helpless, and dark.
