I thought it'd be fun to see how everyone would rate each sport in Resort. You must rate each one out of 10--10 being the best possible score. I'll post my list later--I'm doing this on my DSi right now so it'd be pretty inconvinient to have to type out a lengthy list.

Island Flyover - 10 (I still love it) Swordfighting: 8 (due to bad multiplayer and some more "waggle first think later" but I still have tons of fun) Archery: 8 Basketball: 6.5 (picking up the ball is bad, but throwing is fun nonetheless) Cycling: 2 Frisbee: 4 Canoeing: 6 (average sport) Wakeboarding: 4 (far to simple plus angle seems to only count half the time) Power Cruising: 7 (controls take a while to get used to but work pretty well, water effects are great also) Table Tennis: 7 (works good, but not great) Bowling: 9 (don't fix what ain't broken) Golf: 3 (far to precise)
Okay here's my list (some of you only rated one or two games for some reason. I want to do an average based on all the scores which can only work if you all rate all the games)
-Swordplay--10 -Frisbee---10 -Archery--10 -Island Flyover--10 (I honestly didn't think this game would be any good, but it's one of the most relaxing and enjoyable games I've ever played, and the controls really set a standard for how flight-sims should play on the Wii) -Ping-Pong--10 -Cycling--9 (Okay, not everyone will agree on this one, but Cycling is actually one of my favorite games in the bunch. It's not a great representation of the actual sport as far as motion controls are concerned, but it takes a ton of skill, and its fast paced and the race tracks are really well designed. Not to mention the game looks beautiful.) -Bowling--9 (Improved, but feels pretty familiar) -Golf--9 (see above) -3 Point Contest--9 (feels like making an actual 3-Point shot. Just a blast to play) -Wakeboarding--8 -Jet Ski--7 -Canoeing--6 -Pick-Up game--6
(If I'm missing any remind me)

"Island Flyover" is relaxing and enjoyable, yeah, but it's not setting any standards or using WiiMotionPlus, since Wing Island (2006, Hudson) was basically the same thing: the controls are a rip-off, the looks are almost the same... and it was in one of the first Wii games almost 3 years ago! So the Flyover loses a serious points here, but gets one back because of the well-made parachuting.
The thing is, if many of you like the Island Flyover, why has no one bought Hudson's little "island flyover game" Wing Island that is only 10 bucks anywhere? Wing Island deserves the credit for Resort's Flyover game.
If I thought it were against other games, like actual games, I would have lol'd my way on out of the thread, and never read any of the posts by the users in this thread ever again.
With that said, the rating system in here is screwed up anyway. For some reason, ZERO, you're rating games against each other which means one gets a 10 by default.
Now since you're rating games your odd way, and others are actually giving a score based off how well they're implemented, averaging these scores is going to be a waste of time.
@AlexSays: That's what I'm doing. It would be best to simply put them in order from most favorite to least, but that's not how this thread works. The way I did was how I thought it was supposed to go, but if it isn't then I'll edit my scores no problem. I'll even post my re-done scores jut for you right here:

These scores may seem to high for your tastes, but when I rate a game, I just make the number correspond to what I say. For example "Table Tennis is good" (7/10). Or "Island Flyover is phenomenal!" (10/10). Now do you get it?
Though notice my scores are fairly similar. That's because I did take int account implementation, however, I compared it to the implementation of other sports? Get it?
@Alexsays I did my list based of the fun factor, controls, and how they compared to other games in the package. Obviously If I were comparing Archery to other actual games it wouldn't get a 10, because it's a mini game.

Bowling 10 I love the 100 pin and spin control options Swordplay 10 the controls are amazing, and this is very fun Frisbee 10 I was surprised how fun Disc Dog is, and of course Disc Golf is great Archery 10 This is great as well, and a great challenge Table Tennis 10 This puts every other ping pong game to shame. Basketball 10 I love the 3 point contest, and the 3 on 3 game is a lot more fun than I expected Canoeing 10 This game is fun, and a great work out. Golf 9 I would have given this a 10 if it had more golf courses, or the target golf from the first Wii Sports Power Crusing 9 I am a big fan of WaveRace, so this is a welcome addition Wakeboarding 8 A lot better than I expected, expert is very difficult. Air Sports 6 Shows a lot of potential, but just leaves me wanting more indepth gaming Cycling 2 An ok game, but doesn't really showcase MotionPlus, Baseball, Tennis and Boxing would have been much better addtions.
Okay let's say we all have Deca Sports. I mean really, who doesn't?
From what I gather, you would give what you thought to be the best mini game a 10, and compare all other mini games to that one.
That's wrong. Each mini game is nothing alike, they all have different criteria and have to be judged by their own merits. You say you're doing that too, but then your ratings would really be screwed up.
It'd be like reviewing Halo and giving it a rating on how good of a game it actually is, and then giving it a rating on how well it holds up compared to Mario Galaxy.
@AlexSays: No, no, not like that. I compared them to each other. Example - I thought Air Sports was better than Swordfighting, so I would give it a higher score. Get it?
I'm sorry, but I just happen to suck at explaining
After a week of playing it, here are my rankings, with ratings attached. I'm using NintendoLife's scoring policy for the ratings and ranking each game individually, but at the same time keeping in mind that they are part of a minigame collection.
