Just picked up Another Code R at Gamestation reduced to £10, wasn't really my thing but for that price how could I not pick it up. Anways I had some free time today so after a few games of FIFA 10 online and a few levels of A Boy and his Blob, I decided to try it out and what caught me off guard was how stunning this game is, visually its one of the best on the Wii IMO. Now my question is: how have Cing managed to pull of such graphics in this game, is it because its a graphic adventure game? Also would love to see Cing make more games for the Wii as I found out they also made Little King Story.
So once again my question is:
"How did the manage to get such good visuals on this title?"
Sensible answers please
Dru

They're not that impressive - not a patch on what I've seen with recent titles like Darkside Chronicles and Silent Hill. It does look great, though but it's more to do with some cool visual effects.
I have to be honest I did think I was watch FMV when I first started playing it but it is a cartoony looking game and wont be taxing the hardware too much. I'd just say it has a great graphics style.
Anyway I have to just give more praise to this game. It's definately worth a look for anyone who loves point 'n' click style adventures (though it's something you'll have to keep hidden away under a copy of Madworld when you have people round).
Only barely played it so far, but Silent Hill is visually stunning. It should be immediately presented to any developer who decries the graphical limitations of the Wii.
Meanwhile, i hope Another Code R will get a US release eventually; I loved Trace Memory on the DS. I'd import, but i assume the game is PAL format.

I'm glad it looks good, its just a shame im not into horror titles so i'll prob pass on Darkside and Silent Hill, guess I'll have to wait for Monster Hunter Tri or Zelda Wii

There's nothing wrong with broadening your tastes. I'm more into games where you blast away zombies as some sort of marine rather than solving a mystery as a moody 16 year old girl - but tried Another Code R and loved it so just goes to show you can find a fun game whatever the theme.
the shpydar - it's not out in the US?! Really? That's such a shame - I thought it was exactly the type of game Nintendo was marketing heavily at the moment (you know the "plays just like a novel" games). Hope they see sense and release it soon.
Even though I haven't got time to play it much, it sure is a stunning title. Thanks to the cartoony look. I love adventures and it's something I would have no problem with, showing it to friends. I'm really glad that thanks to the DS and Wii, the adventure genre is gaining popularity again. Thanks Nintendo.
BTW, Nintendo is still advertising this game. It is already out a couple of months. But last friday they send a newsletter around with a exclusive puzzle for the Wii Internet Channel. After finishing it, you get some free artwork. O, and they got an awesome tv commercial.
The visuals and the gameplay application is brilliant in this game. I completed it and sold it on, but it was a superb gaming experience
Yeah I totally agree, literally just finished the title and have to say its one of the most engaging gaming experiences I've ever encountered and completely caught me by surprise I can't believe I hesitated so long in purchasing this title and recommend it highly to anyone able to play it!

Another thing which I think is great about this game is the expertly implemented IR pointer and motion controls (no waggle here!) this title is truly one that benefits from being on the Wii, it wouldn't be half as good if it was another console. This game also felt more "mature" than any of the other so-called "mature" titles on the Wii, we need more games like this!

@madgear Yeah, sadly no US release as of yet. While it seems that Ninty is pushing more of these classic adventure/point-n-click genre games, it seems like they're focusing those efforts more towards the DS (which of course works perfectly with the genre), with the exception of games that get a dual release (like say, Broken Sword, which i still need to buy).
