You have hundreds of party choices to choose from,

As of now there are exactly 2988 ways to make a team.

nah, you are quite mistaken
there are 493 pokemans so the total number of possible teams is: 493 * 492 * 491 * 490 * 489 * 488
... so assuming no duplicates number is closer to 1.39 * 10^16
i.e. about 13,900,000,000,000,000 possible unique teams

(although it has been ages since I did stats/applicable maths so I might be wrong here)

All those combos and my brother still gets the same team as I do. I can't believe it.

there are thousands of Wii games available and you and your friend both have 6 games other than Wii Sports
what are the odds you both own: Mario Kart, Smash Bros, Galaxy, Wii Play, Wii Fit and Super Paper Mario?
stupidly high I guess

its the same deal
just about everyone has: Infernape, Rotom, Lucario, Gengar etc, etc

For Pete's sake, let it be a REAL console RPG with gyms and random battles and such and not something like XD or Colloseum.

I'm not getting my hopes up but if it is, I will be SO excited.

Not a huge fan of the series, but still there is already more than enough of them on handhelds, so maybe a console version wouldn't be such a bad idea, though I still think they went overboard with the entire franchise, how about a brand new franchise altogether its about time they did.

I'm always happy to see new wii game coming no matter I love the game itself or not.

Sigh........ The game is going to SUCK. Dang it Nintendo, do something right with a Pokemon console game for once.

The Game.

Is it after 9PM EST? You should probably ignore the above post.

XD wasn't a bad game. It wasn't as good as any of the main handheld games, but it was still fun.

Read a few post above yours, then click the link. It will be nothing like Colosseum.

OK, now I'm seriously losing all hope we will ever see a REAL Wii version, instead of another mediocre spin-off.

I mean, think of it; It'd easily be one of the most awesome and popular Wii games. It's not like it wouldn't be financially attractive.

I would like to see an app where you can use the GCN - GBA link cable and the DS wifi to transfer pokemon from GBA games to DS games without a DS Phat or Lite. I guess most people who would actually use this bought pokemon for DS and a DS when it released, but it would be an awesome addition to Pokemon Ranch, but I was poor and in college. Maybe that's why they're holding off on the Platinum update in the States... Cheap WW app > Used DS Lite. (I have a GBA/GCN Link and a GBA already).

I am way too lazy to think of something clever.

Tell me, you silly people that are convinced Pokemon lacks depth,

Which requires more strategy, being in a situation where every option is available at will, or having a limited selection from a particular range of options?

It seems you two are looking at depth from a different angle. Then Mario has a ridiculous rant featuring terrible sentence structure and blatant contradictions.

Every item available to be bought by endgame?, clearly you know not of what you speak.

There aren't money troubles in Pokemon? That may be true, but most other RPGs provide ample money, often you may be tight in the beginning, but shortly thereafter money will not be a concern.

If you want to argue that not all the Pokemon will be used, that's fair, but you have the option to do so. On the flipside in most other RPGs, if there are more characters in your team, than there can be in the party, the better ones will likely be used, with the wimpos benched.

Truth be told, just playing through the main story in Pokemon, little of the depth will really be explored, however going above and beyond that, the depth is pretty staggering.

I think this shall do, now if you'll excuse I'm going to go play Final Fantasy insert numeral here, I may come back in a bit to tell you how very successful I was just repeatedly having my characters physically attack, with the odd Curaga thrown in

It may seem that i am trolling, but i am just stating my opinion.

first of all I think that that having all of the options is requires more strategy, Think about it. I'll go ahead and use final fantasy IV ds as an example, some bosses and later on even enemies become really tough and sometimes you have to use magic.you open up the menu and you find a whole whack of spells to use from element based spells(fire, blizzard and thunder),buff and debuff spells like haste and slow, annoying status spells like silence, poison, pig, toad and others and your cure stuff like cure and esuna. then you get into a strategic frenzy. what element is he weak against, should i cure or use esuna to take that annoying silence off my mage cause i don't have echo herbs or remedy's and do i absolutely have to use slow, haste, protect or shell in this fight or should i save my magic points and ethers/elixers. Final Fantasy is a lot more complicated than you think.

oh and don't get me wrong i think Pokemon has depth i used to play but I just got a little bored and frustrated on how repetitive it was getting but thats my opinion.
