Never liked Pokemon for some odd reason (even though I was born around the time Pokemon came into existence). I think it's because the actual people that you battle (NOT the Pokemon) are pretty boring. That's probably why I gravitated towards Digimon more. Digimon had actual characters, as apposed to boring people who somehow have weird monsters (AKA Pokemon).

I agree. I like the Pokemon games to some extent, but I can never really get into one. I always love playing Final Fantasy and other Square RPGs (Anyone getting Kingdom Hearts 358/2 Days? It's awesome).

Make a PS type game. Not the bad stuff they served us up with on Battle R. We could have a 32 gym leader castle. Every gym leader battle, AT THE SAME TIME!!!

Id be happy with an adventure Pokemon game. Even if its like Colosseum, which I liked.

How ironic, seeing as how Pokemon has as much, if not more, depth than most Final Fantasy games.

Well Pokemon has more depth than the Final Fantasy series, and rightfully so, in pokemon both sides have availability to select what they want from every option in the game. Although Pokemon is also much more simple to get into.

Indeed, it has much more. Although against the ingame competition you won't really experience it since most ingame trainers are scrubs.

I'm not a huge fan of the Pokemon series, mostly because I'm not a huge fan of handheld gaming, but I used to have a DS with Pokemon Diamond, and I have Pokemon Yellow, they are very good games. I used to have crystal and emerald, they are both great also. Pokemon XD was okay, but I am hoping this is closer to the handheld games than the Gamecube ones. If it is, it is an instant buy for me, if not, I'll probably wait for Metacritic to submit reviews.

^What he said. If you ask me, Pokemon is one of the deepest RPGs period. You have hundreds of party choices to choose from, hundreds of moves (rather than the couple dozen or so spells and weapons), and more than a dozen types (rather than the 6 or so elements you see in most RPGs). One could complain about the simplistic combat, sure, but the combat in most Final Fantasy games isn't much more involving. Pokemon makes Final Fantasy look as complex as Adventure on the Atari 2600, if you ask me.

I love the depth presented in Pokemon. I only recently found about the whole IV value thing. Now I understand why I got owned when I made the top 8 in the Australian championships, lol

Yeah, I did too. Especially the goddamn Shadow Metagross and Shadow Tyranitar from Colosseum. Those things took FOREVER to purify. When they're first caught, all they know is Shadow Rush, which is a recoil move. And I hate those, too.
