So the common argument against releasing Pokemon Stadium 1 or 2 for the Virtual Console is that the original N64 games aren't much without the transfer pak and a copy of Red/Blue/Yellow/Gold/Silver/Crystal. So my question is, could Nintendo release a Pokemon Stadium game with copies of the Game Boy games on them, sorta like a "virtual transfer pak"?
Think of how awesome Stadium 2 would be with Gold, Silver, Red AND Blue already loaded on. I'd gladly pay even 1200-1500 points for that. Your thoughts?

You'd gladly pay a whole 1500 points for an N64 game and two Gameboy games (both in two variants) that are comparable enough to NES games. You spendthrift, you. Would you gladly pay up to 1200 points for Sonic Classics 3 in 1 too?

What would you suggest?

Well, an N64 game plus 2 unique games on NES level would total up to 2000 points, so what you're essentially saying is that you wouldn't even be willing to pay what these games would be worth were they to be released on their own. That's hardly making a strong case for why Nintendo should do this.
You're talking about rereleasing GameBoy games by emulating them in an N64 game that would then be emulated on the Wii. Do you realize how hard that is to do? They're not going to do that, especially since it will cut into sales of HeartGold and SoulSilver due to some people just getting Gold or Silver through Pokémon Stadium 2 for a lot cheaper.
Ash: Professor Oak, how's your Bulbasaur?
Prof. Oak: Oh, it only hurts when I sit.
...
Prof. Oak: It's only Chansey if Krabby won't let go. Bye, now.
Ash: I don't think I'm going to call him anymore.

Nintendo has to do it like SEGA did with Sonic&Knuckles' lock-on feature on VC.
But first Nintendo needs to support GB games on VC, and yeah, I think that's the most realistic option.
Release Pokémon Stadium (1000pts) and Pokémon Blue and Pokémon Red for 500pts each. Then Pokémon Yellow for 500 pts a half year later. Release Pokémon Stadium 2 (1000pts) a year later and repeat the same procedure with the equivalent GB games that worked with that one.
I don't see any difficulties running GB games in an N64 game emulated on the Wii.

Not that hard I should imagine.

Well just Red, Blue and Yellow at first then. Also, GBC Gold and Silver may share the same story and areas as HeartGold and SoulSilver but don't think of the GBC games as substitutes for the DS remakes. The old games are quite dated now and compared to the modern versions are very limited in their execution. The only bonus it would have over the new games is that you can fight on the N64 Stadium. Also, I don't think you would be able to fight or trade online. That would be very detrimental to the old games and because of this and all the other enhancements HG and SS have, I don't believe releasing the Pokemon Stadium games would cut into their sales.
Edgey, Gumshoe, Godot, Sissel, Larry, then Mia, Franziska, Maggie, Kay and Lynne.
I'm throwing my money at the screen but nothing happens!
Didn't they alter Jynx's colors in the VC version of Snap? I know it's a simple edit, but it's still an edit nonetheless.
Anyways, dated games do not instantly mean inferior. People can feel just as attached to a game from several years ago as they can an enhanced remake of the game. Some of the features of old games can be pretty fun too (Yellow's Surfing Pikachu and Gold/Silver/Crystal's Mystery Gift feature come to mind). Nostalgia is the best part of games like this... and why I never sell a game I like. >:3
@Adamant: I see what you're saying now. I guess I just didn't see the GB games as point-equivalent to NES games (maybe cuz of the DSi shop?). If that were the case, I could probably see it from SKTTR's point of view and buy the GB games separately, because I too REALLY want GB on VC (though i have my doubts it will happen ). The only reason I said 1200-1500 is because of Nintendo's current pricing strategy - minus DLC, i don't see anything being more expensive then 1500.

I suppose it would work a lot better to emulate the GB games directly to the Wii from VC versions (and connect them to the Stadium games) than to attempt an extremely tricky double emulation, but there has to be a GB VC service on Wii, which is a lot more likely to happen on DSi instead of Wii.

Simple solution, remake the Stadiums as a compo disc release and full usage of the DS games...
As cool as that would be (since I really appreciated the rental Pokemon from the first two games), apparently they changed up some things with the Pokemon (Individual Values, mostly - yes I'm a pokenerd ), that make the first two generations completely incompatible with the GBA/DS games. I could definitely go for some remakes though, but Nintendo seems to be content with Battle Revolution (don't get me started....)
