The Hollywood Video around me is closing, so I went over to pick up some games and I got:
Dragon Ball Revenge of King Piccolo New for 13$
Wario Land: Shake It! Used for 12$
and I also got Dragon Ball Z Budokai for PS2 for about 2.49$
Since most of the video stores are closing have any of you guys been to a closing store and got good deals?

Mine closed awhile back. I got:

Viewtiful Joe 2 (PS2) for $4.99
Phantasy Star Universe (PS2) for $8.99

I miss my store though, it wasn't full of morons compared to my local Gamestop.

All the good stuff was already gone by the time I found out my local Hollywood Video was closing.

As far as great deals go, I saw A Boy and His Blob for Wii on sale for only $5 at my local Sears store. It was on clearance; Sears isn't closing.

I got the hook up on a few PS3 games myself when the one in my local town closed.

@Wolf.... Really? How long has that been? Ive got a few of them close to where I live. I think we got like 5 Sears Essentials in a 20 Mile Radius. Ill have to go looking for that one.

I didn't know Hollywood Video had video games, and apparently the one nearby is already closed. A Movie Gallery recently closed, too, and I found out way too late to get anything good. Sometimes it's sad to be me. But other times it's awesome because I'm me.

Come on, friends,
To the bear arcades again.

A ton of PS2 games are really low prices now.
Like I picked up all three Sly Cooper games for around $5 each new.
This wasn't at a Hollywood video, but I'm sure if people are looking to pick up games they passed on at first but want to check out, now is the time.

@Slapshot: I saw it(A Boy and His Blob) in the clearance bin about two days ago. I couldn't believe that it was really that cheap so I scanned it and sure enough it was indeed $5. Check your local Sears. They have some pretty good deals on games. I forgot to mention that they had Ninja Gaiden Sigma 2(PS3) for only $19.99. That was about a month and a half ago though. I should have bought it when I had the chance.

Technically, "Game Crazy" is a game store chain operated by Hollywood video. Some Hollywood studio stores have both games and films but won't advertise games as much. That's probably one reason why they are out of business

My HollyWood Video is already closed but i got a few moviies like district 9 and next day air for like 4 to 10 bucks each and a couple of games like sonic heroes for around $2.00, sly 3 and sly 2 for $4 together, grabbed by the ghoulies for like $2, gta 3, gta vice city for around 10 together, dbz burstlimit for around 10, dbz raging blast $14, Mario SuperStar Baseball for $4, mario power tennis for around 3 or maybe 5 bucks and sega supperstars tennis for like less than a dollar and they all fell around 50 or 40 bucks. totally my lucky day. it was like the last day before they closed down so everything was pratically free.

Mine closed months ago.
I GOT
Triple Play 2000
NBA Jam

This was shortly after I got my N64. Coincidentally, I also found Madden 64 at a GameStop. They were having a clearance.

I had a Game Crazy in a small town that I lived in a few years back. It was really the ONLY source of video games. The Hollywood Video that it was attached too had a pretty extensive collection of rental games. They're used video collection was also pretty sweet and they constantly ran a "3 for $20" deal on their movies.

The selection at Game Crazy wasn't GREAT but it was way better than nothing.

I've played the latter two on the Wii. Good purchases. Warioland is a top 20, Wii classic, game

Wow that bites. I actually scored some GBA games at the Game Crazy near my mom's flat a few years ago and was going to see if there were any worthwhile DS bargains to be had this time. I hope they're still there!

What's the problem with Gamestop anyway? I've been in them before and they seem okay, just like Gamestation over here only with even more retro console stuff.

You Can get some bargins but lot of the time not much cheaper than brand new second hand anyways.

One of my local GameStops has been listed as Funcoland for years. It used to be that, but you'd think they'd have changed the listing by now.
