@AlexSays: Played the DS Sonics? They're pretty good, though they don't feel quite the same as the 2D ones. And everyone loves Sonic, so we naturally want to steer him back in the right direction.
"So their 3D games are just awful but you think they can make a great 2D game?" That makes no sense. They never made a truly good 3D Sonic game, but all of their 2D ones were awesome.
The people that made Sonic more than 15 years ago are not the same people making Sonic today.
And I played Sonic Rush on the DS, and wasn't a big fan.
@pixelman I mean, a pure SONIC game without pointless gimmicks (i.e. the Werehog, swordplay) in 3D has a good chance of not sucking too. If only "Sonic Team" aka "A Team of Devs that Used to Have Members that Cared about Sonic and Good Games" would try.
To be honest, Dimps is doing a fairly good job with Sonic. The day levels of Sonic Unleashed were, though repetitive, quite fun. They also made the DS ones, (Rush Adventure was better than the first) which were pretty fun.
