Topic: Pause for Thought

When playing NES, SNES, Mega Drive games and the like, do you like to pause (go back to the Wii Menu) at certain points?

I generally like to pause a game at the ending sequence for me to enjoy next time I play. I also like to pause when my character is in the thick of the action, or at 'amusing' moments for the benefit of someone else when they play the game.

So, what are your pausing habits (other than for saving/convenience) and in which games do you choose to do this?

I pause when I have to pee-pee.

^ And thats why the pause button was invented

...ah i remember those times, in a Master System i actually had to move my a** to pause Sonic...
These days, kids only have to press a little button...

Obviously i pause when i had enough!

I like to pause when my character is about to die or on game over screens as a sobering message to my future self.

So, you don't pause the game when you need to go for a number 2?

I use the pause when I feel like playing something else and the game has loads of continues.

VC games currently paused: Star Parodia, Soldier Blade, Pitfall: The Mayan Adventure, Bare Knuckle III.
