Topic: Pac-Man VS should be remade for Wiiware

Pac-Man VS is already on Gamecube and DS (I have both of those), but I think it would be a perfect Wiiware party game! It wouldn't be a tangly mess like the Gamecube version was since Wiimote and DS connectivity to the Wii are wireless. Some new things they could add are....

• Plenty of new mazes (5 mazes are far from enough) and maybe even a maze DLC
• An online mode for the people that don't have a DS and/or have their friend around
• Make it 5 players instead of 4 players since Pac-Man was origonally chased by 4 ghosts, not 3 ghosts (The 5th ghost can be Clyde, the orange ghost)
• Allow 20,000 point matches, because even 15,000 point matches can be too short sometimes.

I'd think Pac-Man C.E would be a great fit as well, if it could meet the size requirements.

I love Pac-Man Versus, especially the running commentary in Mario voice.

That's a great idea! Always wanted to try that game.

I think they've already created too many Pac-man games, you might as well just buy it in VC.

@Demonbaby: Are you seriously telling us to buy the NES version of Pac-Man when we're asking for Pac-Man Versus? That makes NO sense WHATSOEVER.

What is Pac-Man VS? Am I missing out?

I'd love to see Pac-Man VS on WiiWare, absolutely. It's one of my all-time favorite multiplayer games.

It's a fantastic little gem for Gamecube, where one player is navigating a traditional Pac-Man maze on the GBA (connected to the GC) while three other players control ghosts on the TV screen, each of which can only see a short distance, giving Pac-Man a little advantage so that the ghosts will need to team up to trap him. Once a ghost kills Pac-Man, that player will take over as Pac-Man (trading his GC controller for the GBA) while the previous player will become a ghost. This continues until a set high score is reached (you collect points primarily as Pac-Man, but also some points as a ghost for stealing fruit first or for each Pac-Man kill).

Endless fun.

I agree I played Pac Man Vs. on the GCN and it was a blast! Its a shame most people never played it due to the fact you needed a GBA, special cable, and 3 GCN controllers.

Well, there you go, not something I'm likely to experience then. Ah well...

I'd love to see Pac Man vs. on Wiiware! Especially since I never got to play the original due to not having the proper equipment.

But if they remade it for Wii Ware then everyone could try it and love it.

They should remake Valkyrie no Densetsu.

Another reason hardly anyone played it was that it came with Player's Choice copies of Pac-Man World 2, which as far as I know wasn't a terribly popular game. I got rid of the main game and kept the second disc because Pac-Man Versus is just too awesome to get rid of. But nobody ever wants to play it with me.

Good point, next year is the 30th anniversary of Pac-Man, so let's see what Namco has planned!

I never knew what Pac-Man VS was until I read this thread. I thought it was another arcade pac-man remake. Sounds awesome. I actually have the GBA cable (Got it for the island on Animal Crossing. Worth it.)

And I resent the fact that you threw away Pac-Man World 2. I borrowed it from a friend and I think it's fun. Got stuck on the 2nd last boss stage (I think).
