@Waveboy But what about the people who say the physics in Brawl are terrible, or that the game doesn't take as much skill as Melee? I personally find no problem with the physics, and it takes just as much skill to play Brawl as it does to play Melee.
Was that directly at me?lol And yep, the physics are a tad floatier but it's no biggie at all. As for Skill, they're both equal BUT Melee has the advantage when it comes to air dodging. Again, in Melee you had full directional control of the air dodging AND you stayed longer up in the air where you could even dash across players from front to back, it was totaly anime.lol I loved it. In Brawl you instead sink to the ground when you perform an Air dodge in the air, AND there's no directional control. I was so pissed off when I found this out the first time I played Brawl. I was soooo dissapointed, because the Air dodging really amped up the fun and skill in Melee. Brawl's definitly sucks in comparison, but Brawl is still the better game aside from that!
However those assist trophies are totaly cheap.lol While Sticker Mode was stupid, Targets mode was lazy and boring compared to Brawls, and the Sub Space was totaly mediocre and felt like another lame mode just so they could pack more crap into the game.
No, I wasn't talking about you. Those are just some of the more common complaints I hear. I don't get the problem with the physics. Sure, it feels different from Melee, but doesn't Melee feel different than SSB64? Each game plays differently, and I don't see why that's a bad thing. Everyone played Melee for so many years they probably forgot how the original felt and immediatly complained because Brawl was different. And I've always liked the air dodge in Brawl because you can move around and attack after you dodge. If you do an air dodge in Melee, your helpless until you land. At least both of them perform the function they're supposed to, so it's no problem.
I've had some rotten luck with assist trophies, whether I get attacked by one, or pick one up and get the Devil or Nintendog all the time. But that's why you can turn them off . I rather enjoyed the stickers and thought it was a clever way to power up your characters. And don't you mean that Melee had a better Target Test? If that's the case, I agree. I enjoyed playing Brawl's Target Test originally, but now that I think about it, it was kind of lazy. At least Melee has a seperate Target layout for each character that made use of that character's abilities. I, however, liked the Subspace Emissary (especially those great cutscenes) and have replayed it several times on a few different difficulties. The entire mode is like the Mushroom Kingdom and Underground Maze levels in Melee's Adventure Mode (which I loved).
Brawl sucks!!! Can't stand the game. Twilight Princess is another game I felt was overhyped. Yes it was a well put together video game but for me it was devoid of the character and charm of previous games. I also found it boring as hell. I suppose if you had never played a Zelda game before then it would be more impressive but for me it felt like a slog towards the end. I just wish that if Nintendo had wanted to make a 'Grown up' 'Mature' title then I would have prefered them to create a new character/game rather than going all 'Lord of the Rings' on Zelda's .
Yep you're right. That's definitly one of the upsides to brawl in that you can attack after you perform a dodge..But I I'd still easily take the Melee-type dodging instead since it's so superior and adds much more skill and fun to the game. And I ALWAYS turn the assist trophies off, they're flat out annoying. And the reason why Melee's target test was better is because the stages were built around the characters attacks, physics and so on. In Brawl, you play the exact same stage, it's flat out lazyness on their part. And another peeve I had with Brawl is that Fox, Falco and Wolf all had the same special Smash Attack....The same goes for Link and Toon Link. The time wasted on that stupid sticker mode could of been spent actually giving us different smash attacks for those characters, making the Online less laggy and maybe giving us some more characters like Little Mac, Mega Man, Simon Belmont, Starfy ect ect. And where in the hell was Luigi's Vacume!? How cool would it of been if he used it has one of his moves or it was part of his smash attack?
But all of that aside, I'm suprised you've only been playing Mega Man for 2 years since you seem to know ALOT about the main MM franchise. My first MM experience was when I was 5 back in 89' with the first Mega Man and I've been playing them ever since aside from the Zero Franchise and those endless Card battle Networkd games(whatever they're called ;p ) I'm guessing since the past 2 years you've been giving yourself insanely high doses of Mega Man And I hope Capcom releases 5,6 and 7 soon for the VC....It's been a long time since i've played 5 and 6 and I still need to play 7. And my new DS Lite should be here anyday now and once I get i'm going to be giving MM & Bass a go hehe. Pirate man's stage looks totaly awesome. And after that, I'll be getting the Zero Collection which i'm verrry excited to get!
Giving each of the Starfox characters a different final smash would've been great, same with Link & Toon Link. At least their final smashes aren't COMPLETELY the same, there are differences, but they each have the same basic strategy. More characters would have been great for sure, and I never liked how only Sonic is playable and not Knuckles or Tails. There should be more than one Sonic character, and it seems like a missed opportunity. If Mega Man were playable, oh just think of the possibilities! There would be a Mega Man stage, with remixed Mega Man music, tons of stickers and trophies, and probably some cool alternate costumes! And there is no excuse for not having Luigi use the Poltergust 3000. Mario has F.L.U.D.D., even though no one would call it the greatest special move in the game. Luigi could use the vacuum to pull things toward him, the same way Mario can push things away from him. It could work, but maybe there was a reason to leave his move set unchanged from Melee.
My first Mega Man game was Mega Man 9. I kept seeing it in Nintendo Power, so when my brother downloaded the demo on PS3, I had to try it. I tried for a good length of time trying to get through Concrete Man's stage, but since I was new to the series I did not succeed. I later downloaded MM2 on VC, followed by MM9, and played the rest of the games soon after that. I guess I have played the games quite a bit, and have beaten them many times. I just never get bored with them, despite the extremely similar game play. I recently played X1-X6 on the X Collection for GC, and I'm starting to love that just as much as the Classic series. I have never played the Zero games, and I probably won't, but for some reason the Zero Collection just looks like something I'd want to have.
@YoshiSage: The CDi games were made without approval from Nintendo and therefor are not officially Zelda games.
Wrong. The CDi games had approval but no imput from Nintendo. They were allowed to because of the contract that Phillips had with Nintendo for a CD-Rom drive for the SNES. Nintendo screwed them over the same as they did Sony, so they went ahead and made the games. It might not have been an approval as much as going to Nintendo and them licensing the characters out like they di with Mario Teaches Typing, but they still had Nintendo's approval in that they had a contract with them to do it.
A lot of people hate Phillips for those games, but if Nintendo hadn't always been asshats to their partners then they probably would've been a lot better.

Digitaloggery 3DS FC: Otaku1 WiiU: 013017970991 Nintendo of Japan niconico community is full of kawaii! Must finish my backlagg or at least get close this year W...
wow, didn't know this topic already had 100 plus hits... but my picks are
the first Red Steel Legend of Zelda Twilight Princess i think those got a lot of hype and build up around them before they got released and were,...bla.
i think Mario Kart wii got it's fair treatment...i think to this day hands down best mario kart ever is the DS. followed tightly by N64.
all the Mario Galaxy's and NSMB delivered on point. anything 3rd party didn't get over hyped to a point as one of Big N's titles (except for the first Red Steel and failed)
i disagree with anyone who said Wii Play....the free controller was hyped more than the game...everyone should of known it was the game that was free and not the controller in reality!!! lol

Little King's Story really stands out in my mind as the most overrated. I bought it because I found the ads so funny but the game isn't, what's more, the graphics can't even be considered GameCube quality, all you really do is save money to build bridges, and combat is a complete mess due to awful controls. I'll always regret not renting this mediocre game first. Its poor sales are completely justified, but despite all this Little King's Story still receives fan service that is absolutely obnoxious. I've even come across a confused few who consider it an RPG.
SSBB was overhyped by the Smash Bros Dojo site, but I still play it 3 years after its release. I don't agree. It was a great game with tons of stages and a stage creator.
Looking forward to The Conduit 2 and CoD: Black Ops for DS For really cool avatars for a forum, go here! http://callofduty.wikia.com/wiki/Callsigns/Emblems
I just got around to play SSBB for the first time this week and while I won't go as far as to say overrated it wasn't as good as I thought it would be. That said since it is more of a multiplayer game and I don't really have any one to play with I don't think it's worth $50 at least not to me, if the price ever drops which is a big if since it has been out this long with out one I might still pick it up.
