Topic: NPC Pikmin 2 in NA: Any news?

I've been searching the web for any info I can find on when the heck we're finally going to get NPC Pikmin 2 in North America, but I can't find a darned thing! One guy apparently called Nintendo about it a month ago, and the rep said their system listed it as "announced," which she assumed meant it would be released in the next few months, but that's BS because it was announced in the SPRING!

Europe has had it since April 24, and even Australia has had it since May 14, so why the heck is North America still waiting? Any news or theories at all, including personal NOA call reports, would be greatly appreciated!

Yeah, NOA is so pig headed these days I wouldn't be surprised if we never get it.

Don't say that! I already sold my Gamecube copy in anticipation of this release! At least, Nintendo hasn't officially CANCELLED the game's American release yet, we just have no info on it.

This makes me feel guilty for not playing it. I think I'll play it now and think of you guys in America.

Pikmin Trilogy. Wait for Pikmin 3 to come out.

That makes no sense, y'know. The Metroid Prime Trilogy came out two YEARS after Prime 3. There's no way Nintendo would release Pikmin 3 and pack the first two games in at launch! We'd have to wait two years after whenever Pikmin 3 finally releases! And this is all really a stupid argument since the entire rest of the world has Pikmin 2 on Wii already, while NA is still waiting.

Lol you beat me to it, but then again I thought that it probably wouldn't happen since Pikmin 1 is already on the Wii...so, I dunno, maybe...lol. I'm going back on Prime Trilogy now, lol.

No, that Trilogy theory is bunk, I already explained that. We need NPC Pikmin 2, stand-alone, released in NA, STAT!

Pikman 2 will be "The Empire Strikes Back" of the Pickman trilogy. Wait and see.

@Outrunner: No, I found it on one of those "sell your home-made crafts" websites by Googling "stuffed Ness" (or plush Ness, I forget which). It's $45, I think, so I just settled for snatching the picture for now.

I want this game so much.
I loved the first NPC Pikmin (never had a Gamecube). I wanna play the second one now, with Wii controls!
Plus it's hard to find both gamecube games and they're kinda expensive.
Release it NOA! And Chibi-Robo too!

Yeah, Chibi Robo would be nice, but I don't wanna push my luck right now. I'll stick with lobbying for Pikmin 2 right now.

Maybe when Pikmin 3 gets closer to it's launch date sometime next year, Pikmin 2 will be released to raise excitement levels.

Yeah, MAYBE, but that really doesn't explain why everybody else already has it and we're left out. I really hate NOA nowadays; they've slipped a LONG way down over the years, and now NOE is actually more on-the-ball!

Japan will probably get it because they didn't get Metroid Prime Trilogy,they just got two NPC.
I never played any Pikmin game so I hope that Pikmin 2 comes out for NPC,I heard that Pikmin 2 is more fun.

I recently e-mailed Nintendo about this issue and had some back-and-forth with them about it. Here's and excerpt from the latest e-mail I got from them:

"I've reviewed all the press releases that Nintendoof America has released regarding the New Play Control series, and in none of them is Pikmin 2 mentioned.  This means that while it may have been announced by Nintendo in general and released in other markets, the game has yet to be officially announced in this market by Nintendo of America.  Even though it has been rated by the ESRB--even if Mr. Iwata or Reggie Fils-Aime were to mention it on live television--a game is not announced until a press release has gone out to the media.  I know that this is disappointing, and I wish I had a more positive answer to give you, but what I've told you is the truth--straight up.  I have made sure your feelings about the game and our not having released it have been forwarded to those in charge."

So...anybody think that actually did any good?
