Um I'm probably a bit slow on this but because Microsoft bought out RARE a while back I guess this means we aren't getting all the games on VC under the RARE banner. I am seriously becoming more dejected about my Wii as time passes by. This means NO BATTLETOADS (NES,SNES and SEGA), NO BANJO KAZOOIE (N64), NO PERFECT DARK (N64), NO WIZARDS & WARIORS series (NES) just to mention a couple. Anyone else want to add what we're missing out on ??? I know you are going to hate hearing this but my Wii is going to become the 2nd console in this house very soon. (Once I decide wether xbox360 is worth it (not looking good) or if I should just go back to Sony)
But anyways, so your going to abandon the Wii due to the fact that Rares great N64 and SNES games aren't coming to VC? Yet you know Microsoft owns them?
Well I find this situation pretty stupid just because your going to abandon an entire console just because a developer won't be having their games on the VC service. Is it worth it?

You shouldn't abandon the Wii because there might not be any old Rare games on the VC, but you bring up an interesting point. Technically, Nintendo probably won't be able put any old Rare games, but there is a slight chance that we might get Rare games because Rare was a 2nd party developer for Nintendo at one point (Unfortunately), meaning that Nintendo published the games. So it's slightly possible, but highly unlikely.

Well there are a few RARE games on the VC already but they are Nintendo's titles via Donkey Kong Country series off the SNES. Anyways its not like they promised the titles when you bought your Wii. But at the same time there is a lot of people that would love to play Goldeneye, Perfect Dark and a lot of the other games they developed. If your Wii becomes your 2nd console thats your choice as a consumer. But, why should we care ?

It's not just this, the lack of real decent games. I've owned the Wii over 2years now and still only own 6 games for it. Compared to my previous consoles there are no where near as a steady flow of games I'd sell my Granny for. The fact I've spent too much on accesories to go with the wii. And to emphasize I'm not dumping the Wii it's going to be overshadowed.. but not forgotten. I am not saying there aren't Great games out there on Wii and I love the controls but as soon as the new Final Fantasy is out on PS3 I think that will be the decider. I love RPG games and there's a huge shortfall on the Wii (Okami probably the best so far), nor do I mind the odd 1st person shooter yet again not here and driving games..... do you see where I'm coming from. So it won't be goodbye Wii forever just may become a little dusty between uses.
Have you seen the Wii release date lately? As of right now Muramasa, GH5, and Spyborgs are all this month's releases worth looking into. As for 2010...
If your going to wait until the new Final fantasy for PS3 to arrive then well you'v e got a lot of Triple A Wii title heading your way. So giving up on Wii just yet isn't the smartest idea. Just look at this website's upcoming games for Wii. You'll surely find a great game coming to Wii in almost every genre.

You forgot about New Super Mario Bros. Wii, Possibly Tatsunoko Vs. Capcom: Ultimate All-Stars, Maybe Final Fantasy Cyrstal Chronicles: The Crystal Bearers, and several others for this years release, oh wait did you mean just the month of September?
While unlikely, Rare games do have a slight chance of appering on the Virtual Console. This is why I have yet to give up hope on Rare games coming to the Virtual Console, same reason why I haven't given up hope on Earthbound, the TMNT games, Bionic Commando, and more unlikely titles I would like to see on the Virtual Console.

Why yes, yes I did.

If you're an RPG fan and like games like Okami, have you played Little King's Story yet? Maybe you should try that. Crystal Bearers looks excellent as well. For the more traditionalist, I think games like Arc Rise Fantasia and Fragile could use all the help they can get at retail.

No the list of reasons I am not happy with the GAMES out on the Wii could be pretty extended but the fact is there are a lot of reasons to make me want to own a second console. I never felt this was necassary throughout the PS1 and Xbox (my last two consoles) though I did end up with a N64 along there somehow. As for retro I have always had a mix of SEGA and Nintendo consoles as both have had games that were unbelievably great. It's just a case of it's gone back to the old days where there's a wider range out there. It's good for us, the gamers, but the big companies need to be aware of the whole range of players out there not just dedicating to a very similar line of gaming throughout. It's not a go at the Wii, I love the Wii and the Games that are good are something I'd tell anyone to go and try.
Go back to the old days when there was a wider range? I think there already is a wider range of games on the Wii and I know for one my collection reflects that...I think if we dig a little deeper, it's that your range has actually narrowed, not Nintendo's.
