So? If you want to play Nintendo 64 games that badly, why not just get a Nintendo 64 & start buying games for it? We all know that the N64 section of the VC is slow-growing & until the controller pak issue is solved, the Nintendo 64 section will remain slow-growing.

Besides, a lot of Nintendo 64 games can be found for cheap.

Having to buy the old consoles and hunt down the old cartridges just to play games defeats the point of the Virtual Console.

Edgey, Gumshoe, Godot, Sissel, Larry, then Mia, Franziska, Maggie, Kay and Lynne.

I'm throwing my money at the screen but nothing happens!

Just wanting one or two games in particular also kind of defeats the point. We're getting some games added to the service every week - if you like it, or think it looks interesting, download it. If not, don't. But if you just want to play game x that bad, it's a better idea to just go buy game x instead of whining about how much the service sucks every time they release somethign else.

The N64 had a handful of amazing games, but I think most of the cream of the crop are already on the VC. I would like to see the BattleTanx and Castlevania games to arrive. The N64 doesn't have nearly as many awesome games as the NES or SNES in my opinion.

So? The VC is never going to the be-all end-all of retro gaming despite having over 300 games in it's service & probably having at least a couple hundred more in the next several years. For example, rather than wait for a long time to play some N64 RareWare games on VC, I could just buy all of the games on the original cartridges & get it over with.

Another example! Since it'll probably take a while longer for Fatal Fury Special to come out on the VC, I could just buy a Neo Geo CD & the NGCD version of Fatal Fury Special so that my cravings to play it can finally be satisified without having to wait an unknown period of time for the VC version. Plus, there're other games that I would like to get on the NGCD besides Fatal Fury Special, so that's a nice bonus! At least for me because I won't have to wait an unknown period of time for it to come out on VC.

I would say the reason there aren't many N64 games on the Virtual Console is because...there aren't many N64 games! The N64 only ever had 387 total, but subtract all the licensed games or games by companies who don't with to support the Virtual Console service. Also subtract games that they assume would not sell well due to their obscure nature or poor sales the first time around. Also subtract Japanese games with lots of text (in the case of European/American releases only that is). Also subtract any games that required peripherals such as
Hey You, Pikachu!" What's left? Not a whole heck of a lot. Furthermore, this generation of gaming is supposed to be extremely long (I've heard some say 10 years but I'm not sure if it will go that long, just go with it theoretically). Suddenly Nintendo not releasing many N64 games makes perfect sense, to expand the longevity of the service.

In short: There aren't many N64 games, so there aren't many N64 games on VC.

Did you know that it actually costs Nintendo more than a fraction of a penny to put an N64 game on VC? Ninty just doesn't have the money for that anymore.

It takes everyone more than a fraction of a penny to put up their games on the VC.

N64 is the worst N console on the VC, so it's fine with me.

I think we might see some love soon, with Lucasarts finally supporting the Virtual Console. Could other companies jump ship?

I don't like the fact that there are only 16 games on the VC for the 64. I know there were more games than that!

Think about it. The need for N64 games is less than for NES and SNES. It's a more modern system, and more people have N64s, I'm assuming.

One problem with that theory. The NES and SNES has sold more then the N64, so that's a major flaw with your theory. Also to help flaw that, I do not have my Nintendo 64 anymore, since it broke.

64 was awesome. Not as good as NES or SNES, but still a damn fine machine.

The Nintendo 64 is simply my favorite Nintendo console, ever! And before someone ask, yes, i have all the Nintendo home consoles. I would love to see more N64 games on VC.
