Well, it's a safe bet that the Wii Movie store is probably going to be pretty lame in comparison to the competition.

I would just be happy with Japan's Wii no Ma channel.

hmm.. i don't think i really care for this...i would like to pay a bit more and own the movie instead of low-fi streaming.

I would rather just have more VC games.

You will get 300 movies the first year then it will trickle down to one movie per week before it's no longer profitable

I'm looking forward to it, actually. There are plenty of movies I'd like to see but don't wont to shell out the $20 for. Aren't interested in iTunes movies; too small, and Block Buster is out of the question right now really.

I think I said this somewhere else EARLIER, but... BBC iPlayer is a great service (UK) and the Wii friendly UI is a really nice touch. Quality? Pixelvision.

I hope they find a way to stream all smooth and stuff, with this fancy movie thing.

My only concern is storage. Will nintendo finally provide a real storage solution in the light of this movie channel, if it comes at all? It always seemed to me that the SD solution was only a temporary solution. I don't know about you, but I'm getting tired of seeing that loading bar when I want to play a Wiiware/VC game.

I don't mind the loading times since they're usually quick

Ugh, I hate this crap. It's a GAME system. I don't want movies on there.

I think it'll probably make more sense to just use netflix.

uhm...you don't download the movies in the movie channel...you just stream them. no need for a "real storage solution" that's what's makes me all itchy about this service.

I just hope they give us movies like Superman and Jaws instead of The Care Bear's Magical Adventure.

I'm definitely up for this. I cannot be bothered with renting DVDs and buy very few. The Wii is the only thing hooked up to my TV that can stream anything. If this wasn't just some studio guy talking there would no dout already be a news item up on the front page.
