http://www.wired.com/gamelife/2008/06/nintendo-workin/ ....we all know that the latest os upgrades fixed the problem with Wii's storage and gave us 32 gigs.......So what do you think nintendo is working on? I kinda figured they'd do something with them(usb ports).....Wonder what Nintendo is up to?

External memory would be nice, especially if it allows us to view Netflix movies with it.

I also think we could see a camera for video chat and gaming purposes, and headsets for video gaming communication (dunno if the WiiSpeak is good enough).

It'd be nice if it were an external hardrive but chances are it's just a new peripheral.

That would be killer....but at the same time....we got 32 gigs of space on the card.....I'm thinking Nintendo should do a small update to allow us to use those 32 gigs better by allowing more channels on the card menu. Really though, can you use all 32 gigs of the card?

I would be nice to have something to give the Wii better graghics that's the bigest complant about the Wii. I would think you would only need it for a few games. But I would think an attachment would be cheaper for us and them then reamkeing a whole new consle.

I'm pretty sure that "Test Plan" doesn't involve external hard-drive, since that would actually sell. As for guessing what it could be, I'm thinking either the Wii "Pulse" thing or whatever (Did I already forget the name?) because the Wiimote sending the data over a wireless network would be too difficult or something "revolutionary" that everybody except its core audience would care about.

Hard drives. It can be done with a simple update, I don't know why they aren't doing it yet.

The Game.

Is it after 9PM EST? You should probably ignore the above post.

I agree it would be cool, but how useful could it be? We already have 32 gigs on the card for the 4.x update. The card will be faster(depending on which card you get) and more reliable than a usb 2.0 hard drive could ever be. Hard drives always die eventually.

@RandomWiiPlayer: I doubt we'll be getting hardrives, but if so, that would be awesome. More awesome games could come out. If Nintendo were to make it, I say give it at least 10 GB of space.

HDD's work better with large files, so if we're going to get Netflix capability, having a HDD would make more sense than storing it on a 32GB flash drive.

This article is more than a year old btw

Anyway, I think it's a little late to add a hard drive. I say wait until the next generation to use one
