Topic: New Kirby for Wii?

I'm assuming this has been covered, but with all the talk about upcoming announcements and press conferences that are looming in the coming months I was just scanning some sites and saw a Kirby Wii game listed for Japanese release (TBA).
It's the first I had heard of it, but maybe I missed something at some point? What are you all thinking about this?
I'm hoping it's a platformer, but anything other than a racing game would be amazing.

Hm...I'd like a Kirby 64 style game (with the double powers) or a new Kirby Air Ride. Man, my little brother and I still play Kirby Air Ride sometimes.

A side scroller or a 64 version would be nice. What was the last Kirby game? I can`t remember.

For consoles, that would be Kirby: Air Ride.

If Kirby Next Gen comes out, that'll make me happy.

I'm starting to think this game will never be released since this Kirby game was announced for the Gamecube every once and a while someone says this game will be released in a certain year.

I'm not really sure a new Kirby console game could be really defined as "very special" to Nintendo. Sure, it would be a nice treat, but not something that would make people say "Wow!" unfortunately...

Im suprised that a new Kirby game hasn't came out on the Wii. Seems like it would sell well.

We've known about this new Kirby game for almost five-six years.

Nintendo doesn't realize that a pink puff ball would be perfect for the audience they have been focusing on this gen.......

Kirby is mostly a hand-held franchise. We got several good ones on the DS.

Kirby is a series who basicly refused to be in 3D well in terms of platformer however if they just use the Super Mario 64 or Super Mario Galaxy Engine i'm pretty sure they make a great 3D game for Kirby.

This game has been in development hell for the longest times. I'm not even sure if we'll even see it, although a Kirby game would indeed be sweeet.

I still have the Nintendo Power where they first announced it for Gamecube. I'm also not quite sure if this'll ever see the light of day. Oh, and Rhansley64, wouldn't that just make it a Mario game but with floating?
