Who's excited? I know I am. I'll be picking up the bundle that comes with the game and the Classic Controller Pro.

Always been a fan of Monster Hunter. I'm told the one to get will be the 360 version, and while I have a 360, something about the Wii version has such a charm on me.

Dude I am fairly certain it is a wii exclusive. It looks amazing though!

It is Wii exclusive, but the 360 is getting Monster Hunter Frontier - at least, it is in the Far East, not sure about a Western release date. It's also worth considering that Frontier is a three-year old PC game that currently has a monthly subscription model, whereas MH3 is a brand new game for Wii with (most likely) free online play. Tough to choose, but I'll probably be getting... both.

Righto, that's what I meant. Monster Hunter Frontier.

Because Capcom is stealing most of my money this year, I'll only be getting the Wii version. Wii Speak should be great. And underwater monster encounters? Oh goodness yes.

I'm not on the Hype Train yet. Capcom has left me with mixed impressions in the past. This does look like it could be an anti-Endless Ocean: a game you can play forever with mates or on your own, but clearly without the chillout factor (unless you can sort of stealthily sneak up on monsters and just watch them without fighting -- that might be interesting).

No bundles for me since I have the bundled hardware already, but there's a decent possibility of my getting this. I still need to get Endless Ocean 2 in the slot, damn TvC taking all my time!

Hopefully I'll have some money for the CC Pro/Wiispeak bundle.

I already own two classic controllers, but no wii-speak. I would buy the bundle MH3+Speak, but...it doesn't exist. Thats stupid, because I don't need another CC, even if its CCPro. Well, no talking I guess.
The game itself, from what i've seen, is completely awesome, especially the online mode. I am looking forward to play with you guys, at least the ones from europe (you read the news?).

You can buy the Wii Speak add-on separately quite inexpensively online, so it's worth checking out.

You'll probably find even more copies online after Endless Ocean 2 bundle comes out in North America - lots of people seem to be getting it just to sell and offset a bit of the cost. LOL

I got a WiiSpeak with Animal Crossing. Haven't used it for anything but that (and sending a few silly acapella recordings to friends), but the thing is amazing. Can't wait to see it implemented in something as awesome and huge as MH3.

For everyone thinking this will be a casual hack-and-slash fest with online--keep in mind, these games are VERY involved and quite difficult. There's not a lot of out-leveling-difficulty that can be done and it's a very cumbersome series. It's also worth noting that Japan pays 8 bucks a month to play it (Pro touched on this) and there's been no official announcement that our version will be free. Granted--I've only played other versions, but I was never able to get into them...just kinda seemed like clunky Action games with overly drawn out encounters and simple dodge-attack strategies.

That's what I gathered from the bumper previews I've been reading in N-gamer and ONM. Hugely hardcore and deliberately clunky almost to make it even harder to "kill" monsters.

I'm still interested but need a revw.

iam also a big BIG fan of monster hunter series but i don't know about tri
for instant the graphics are cool and al also better online but there are important things i don't see in monster hunter tri and that is :
Fatalis isn't in the game just as
tigrex, kut-ku, Garuga, Gypceros, Hypnocatrice, Khezu, Nargacuga, Akantor, Ukanlos, Rajang, Kirin, Kushala Daora, Lau-shan Lung, Teostra, Lunastra and many MANY more are just gone

I'm stoked for this game. I've never played Monster Hunter (no PSP, and I can't find the older titles for the PS2) but it's right up my alley.

Not happy about the pay-to-play for online mode though. You get 20 days free with the game's purchase, and then it's 800 Wii Points for 30 days, 1500 for 60 days and 2000 for 90 days. I guess it's better than P2P MMOs where you don't even get offline mode, but still I wasn't expecting additional fees. Unless it's REALLY good I don't think I'd pay to play it online.

But who knows, they may have free online outside of Japan. I can dream, can't I?!

If the online is free in North America, I will be getting Monster Hunter Tri, as this is my most anticapated Wii title.

I certainly hope the online will be free here. If I have to pay for it, there's no chance I'll get this game. [well, maybe I'll get it for the classic controller pro].

Just let it happen.

Two things are running through my head with this. One is the 40/40 review in Famatsu (who knows how much you can trust that but still... 40/40!!) and the other is the import reviews I've read, which have mainly been: this game is good but not incredible. So I'm left feeling very confused. From what I've personally seen of the game I really like the look of it though.
