Hudson tweeted that it's going to be released for the Xbox on September 30th. Still no word on when it'll be released for the Wii (or PS3) however. What is known though is that because of the size of the game, two multiplayer maps will be excluded from the WiiWare version.
Anyone looking forward to this WiiWare title?

Yeah, I know. Is the Nintendo size limit on WiiWare a "set in stone" thing, and why? Not sure if developers need to add the ability to work with DLC into software prior to launch, but if it's an option ... I hope they seriously consider it. What would be even better is releasing a tool kit to allow people to generate and then share personally generated maps (a la Unreal Tournament and other PC-based FPS's).

yeah I'm looking forward to this. Turn based strategy you can play online is something you can count me in on. Though last time I tried something somewhat similar was massive assault for pc.
Yeah, actually a few months back I remember reading it in Nintendo Power's Wiiware previews and I have to say I can't wait for it. RTS games are always fun especially Warcraft and Starcraft. Hudson rocks when it comes to Wiiware.
I think you guys all take a Quantity > Quality look at Hudson.
Not really. I currently own a total of two Hudson WiiWare titles so I'm not really going off and buying things willy-nilly. With that said, the original has always been lauded as a very good game, and if Hudson is planning on sticking with the original formula, it should be a success as well. From what I've seen already, the graphics look pretty cool. I think Hudson has done a fine job (from what I can tell) on this game. Given that, I have no problem parting with some money for this game.

I just worry about anything Hudson does. They do stupid things sometimes...like ship retail bomberman games without online play.
@chrono This is NOT an RTS title its a TBS (turn based strategy) title. Think of something like advance wars. It should be very accessible even if you aren't used to tbs but if you go into it expecting something like starcraft you will be disappointed.
@KS8- Exactly what I think. It would be lame if they didn't do that. Unless I'm missing something, I don't think there's any reason why we'd have to get less. I think I might be a little annoyed with them if they didn't at least add them as extra downloads(just don't charge extra).
@Sean- Yeah definatly, especially with online. Double win!
Looks like it's coming out in November, probably to make room for Shootanto, My Zoo and their DSiWare projects. Originally, it was to release Sept./Oct. time slot.
