After two hours of gameplay... Bigger, better... but maybe it lost the soul.

What do you think? For me, the original feelings of the first was more authentic.

Feels like more of the same pretty much. It feels like a logical continuation of the first game which is a good thing but also a bad thing cause it doesn't really surprise you.

I'm stuck in a part where you need to stand on a switch to open doors but if you get off the switch, the doors become locked again. I've tried everything with the wind & slipstream but it doesn't work. Would be nice if somebody helped me, it's really stupid to be stuck at the beginning of the game.
EDIT: Problem Solved, used a snowball.

About the impressions (haven't played the first LW), graphics are really nice and music is good.
But controls are sometimes not great.
The most complains about the first LW were that it wasn't long enough. The first part took 257 blocks and this part almost the maximum WiiWare size: 317. I don't know if that says much about the length of the game, but I'm not far enough to come to conclusions.

There are a lot of switchs, but... do you try to draw a circle and make a snowball over it?

Problem solved. I tried to create a snowball and it worked. I was already trying to make a snowball, but you have to spin 4 times before you get it. This was what I meant in my post earlier about the controls. Anyway, thanks for the help Opa-Opa!

i have downloaded the 2nd today and never played the first, so for me, this game feels very fresh. I absolutely love the art style that is going on and the gameplay mechanics. The controls (especially the "jumping") needs a while to get used to, but it is a flaw that i am willing to take. The winter world looks astoundin, and so does the summer one.

It's not a hectic, action filled platformer though. LostWinds feels more like a game to play on cold evenings, with a fine cup of tea inside of a warm room, just because the game itself has such a cosy atmosphere =D

I've also bought the game today. But I have currently tons of other games to play so this one must unfortunately wait.

Eurogamer gave the game 9/10.

After finish it, I must say the game is a perfect 10. Fantastic, and the very very best of WiiWare. Long, intelligent, and pure charm. Congratulatons, Frontier!

So it didn't lost it's soul? Nice to hear that you enjoyed it, Opa-Opa. I'm looking forward playing it too.

Loving it so far, they should release both games on one disc

Just finished it yesterday. It took me 3:40 h, but I still need two of those little Melodia thingies. The game feels very fresh and is really really beautiful, both by graphics and by atmosphere. I have not played the first game though, which probably has the same qualities. My only complaints are that it was a bit short (and feels even shorter than it is because its gameplay is so captivativating) and quite easy, too.
But still, it's certainly one of WiiWare's best games.
