This was, in a strange twist of events, probably the game I walked away most impressed with. Extremely charming visual style and some seriously creative gameplay.

This has to be the best looking game at E3! I was eagerly awaiting the Kirby game thats been in the works since the Cube, but I am glad that they chose to start from scratch and create something truly unique. I was skeptical at first, thinking that it would play similar to Canvas Curse (which was good, don't get me wrong) but I was pleasantly surprised to see that it plays like nothing else we have seen before.
This looks like crap. Characters not even colored in and all those childish sounds that seem like they are taken from cartoons for toddlers. A far cry from kirby super star or even kirby 3. Kirby using a lasso? wtf is that? Where is his sucking and copy abilities? Kirby was always cute and a bit childish but this is going way too far.

The sounds were taken from the Kirby cartoon. This game is set up a Dreamland 3 and 64. That is Kirby's arm it stretches, his Yarn is Epic. Much like how Gooey copied abilities in Dreamland 3, which he might still have because they showed UFO Kirby. Also you look like crap and cant maintain your manhood while playing Kirby, but that is my opinion too.

Well, first off I can see where you're coming from. We got a Kirby game, but it wasn't THE Kirby game. They may have copy abilities, because it is a Kirby game, and they won't just throw in a gimmick like that without a reason. And probably, Kirby will be able to stitch or sew the enemies powers to him if we're talking about the whole yarn theme

This. Is my favorite game from E3. Second is de Blob 2, third is DKCR.
But this one reminds me of A Boy and His Blob. Great art style, puzzle within platforming, unique gameplay, and is ridiculously adorable. Plus it has co-op, which is always an awesome thing.
Admittedly i was expecting a 3D Kirby game for Wii, but given it's succesfull roots and Nintendo's take on 2D since New Super Mario Bros Wii (along with Donkey Kong Country Returns) it looks promising and hopefully it will be as awesome as the DS games that inspired it.
I liked every other main kirby game even the n64 version that didn't get much love. That was just my first reaction to the trailer. I've watched it again and the voices still irk me but it may actually be fun if they keep the gameplay varied. I've seen that background style before but having the characters in almost vector style is definitely unique and unexpected. Not the kirby I wanted but still may be its own kind of fun.
