Ok, maaayyyyybeeee I was wrong. I enjoy the Crystal Shards, but not to the point where I put it in my top 5 Kirby games.
well you gotta think, its a 3d 2s platformer first of its kind,it had many customizations with the power ups and the music is pretty awsome [youtbe:JNrHdSNQxdY] thats pretty awsome for its day and age

I would go that far!
Why don't people like it? Just wondering.
it's pretty slow I guess. I'm a big fan of the game but it's not one of the best ever imo.
Although I remember from the old official Nintendo forums days that younger people LOVE Kirby 64. Probably "first Kirby game I owned" and all the crazy combinations and stuff that just wasn't like other Kirby games (if in the typical samey yet different enough way I expect from Nintendo). Also, like the other older Kirby titles the soundtrack rules the world (Rock Star, Neo Star Volcano, Silver Star Factory, JAZZ-RIFFIC RIPPLE STAR CASTLE) [youtube:sJaI8MER65w]
I find it really easy to blast through but sort of difficult to 100%. I have yet to do it. The soundtrack in most Kirby games (especially 64), are fantastic.
I wanted Squeak Squad to be in this collection but I think it was you kkslider that said it was the laziest sequel ever and... I have to agree 100%. It's a great game no doubt but it's such a lazy sequel I don't think it deserves a spot in the collection whatsoever. Neither does Amazing Mirror.
Just for you. "I'm just a musical prostitute, my dear." - Freddie Mercury
Is Kirby 64 even worth playing after experiencing Return to Dreamland? Ah who am i kidding, i'd play it regardless. Dreamland 2 aside from RTD is what i really want to sink my T-Rex teeth into on the 3DS's VC, whenver the He-man hell it's actually released that is.
Kirby 64 is similar to RTD now that you mention it, but boy oh boy mixing the powers is a blast. Even if half of them are useless the sheer insanity of Kirby having a volcano head or turning into a fridge is worth it. I also hope they put Dreamland 3 in the collection but who knows.
Give me Air Ride and Kirby 64 and I'd be a happy chap.

@Tasuki, I can see it happening easily. So were all the games on the Super Mario 25th Anniversary Collection, as in available on the Wii Virtual Console. Not to mention they were done in All Stars on SNES and re-released as Game Boy Advance games separately. Kirby Super Star is one of the most popular Kirby games, I'm sure it'll be on there.
Check out my list of Kirby games that I want on the collection at my signature.
It's a long stretch I know, The classic Kirby games that I didn't put on the list is because some are easily available at the Virtual Console service for both Wii and 3DS. It's great to have at least one Kirby game that is not on the service to be in the collection.
