Topic: Kid Icarus Passwords

So apparently the old passwords do not work with the VC Kid Icarus game correct? If so, does anyone have the VC passwords? I am stuck at the first dungeon and would like to move on someday

They removed the passwords from the VC version. Probably because you can just save your spot by returning to the Wii menu. There were even cheat passwords in the original cartridge and those are gone on the VC version also. It really sucks I know but If you're determined enough the game is beatable. It's still pretty hard though. Even if you run out of lives I think you still keep all your items and upgrades. Just don't reset or you'll lose everything.

I'm with Link on this, and to add to it, the first dungeon is incredibly difficult for beginners. The best advice I can give is find an online map to find the shortest route to the final room. As hard as it is, getting through the first dungeon will mean, skill wise, you're prepared to get through the rest of the game. If you can't get past the first dungeon, you're not going to get through the following stages...the game doesn't get easier.

Unfortunately I can not tell you if they are working because I neither have the NES nor the VC version. Give it a try.

If that's true then neither myself or my friends would have been able to beat it which we have. It's very possible to beat the game, it's just the cream of the crop when it comes to difficulty and I wouldn't want it any other way.

No it isn't. It just requires practice and perserverence. Once you get past 1-3 the game becomes a lot easier.

But it absolutely blows that the cheat codes were taken out. I don't even see why Nintendo had to do that.

I beat it without codes too. All I used were maps from that website.

I have beaten Kid Icarus. It was challenging in some spots, but

• I learned the dungeon layouts (took some time)
• I always fought as many monsters as possible before moving to the next stage (the higher the score the faster you lvl-up)
• I used the controller#2 trick in the shops pressing 1+2 (so I got items much cheaper)
• I always bought some health potions, feathers, magic, fire arrows and other stuff just to make this game a walk in the park
• I have beaten it twice (the second time was much easier since it was a newgame+ with a maxed out character)
