I got SMW 5 days ago. I really like it, but still i don't know how to save. I only know the way in which i have to beat a castle and some other buildings, but not whenever i can. Is there any other way of saving in the game, or just doing a "trick" with the Wii, in which i would continue from the same spot or level?

On the Wii all you have to do is exit to the menu, and it will save exactly where you were when you left. In the original, the only way to save is by beating a castle, ghost house, or switch palace.

Also, you can always go back and re-beat a ghost house whenever you want to save. The Donut Ghost House takes like 10 seconds to beat.

Castles also include Bowser's Castle which you can do again & again. Pretty obvious I guess, just thought I'd clarify.

After beating Bowser I think you can save anytime you want.

That would be nice, but that's not the case.

I kind of want to know if it's possible to change the world back to how it was originally, y'know when you have all the Masked Coopers and stuff, once you have completed all the levels. It's not important but would be nice if possible (I thought going through the Star World exit again would do it but I guess not).

Incidently I've only just figured out on the VC you can re-play the castle stages again by pressing the L and R triggers. In over a decade of play I never knew that!! I just assumed once they were beat you could never play them again.

You're thinking about New Super Mario Bros.

Really? My bad. Was that feature in the GBA version?

Sadly, no.

That's why I prefer the GBA version, it lets you save anytime! Also, in the GBA version, the replay-castles cheat does not work. However, that version does allow you to replay the castles once you beat the game! Oh, and no, you cannot revert back to the regular enemies once you unlock their alternate forms.

That's the beauty of the auto save feature on most VC games; when using the home button & exiting out back to the Wii Menu!

Plus yes, Super Mario World is indeed one of my #1 all time favorites; & I did have the SNES version back then, but now I own both the VC & the GBA version! It doesn't matter which one is the better version either; but yes saving anytime on the GBA one is more convienate!
