Just wondering if anyone knew. I know the Mega Drive games vary from 3MBs to 6MBs, I wonder if the 32x carts are doubled or the same size as the SNES carts?
Also, is the 32x hard to emulate? If so then no wonder it isn't on the VC yet despite its small library....
That could explain it, as it took years for anyone to develop a decent 32X emulator for PC, as you first need to emulate the Genesis and then the 32X on top of it (heh, double meaning ).

Ash: I don't think I'm going to call him anymore.
32X games aren't really that big. I think most of them are smaller than SM64, and that's only 8 MB. As far as emulation goes, I don't have a clue if it's hard to emulate or not, but I do know that there are emulators out there that can emulate them without any problems.

They're small, a few megabytes at best and as far as I knew at least 5 maybe 10years ago they were emulated just fine, unless you meant commercially? Even then I could have sworn Knuckles Chaotix or however it was named was in that gamecube bundle of titles from Sega on those Sonic packages.

I see. Fair enough if the games aren't all that large to put on the VC...
I thought it may have the same problems as the chips in the SNES games...as the add on itself was basically a specialised chip set for that type of software...

Not that big, and the 32X isn't particularly hard to emulate. It does take some work, but if they can get Lock-On to work, they can get the 32X to work on VC.

Not hard to emulate but the main reason the 32X isn't on the VC is because you can count the number of decent games for it on one hand and still have your thumb left over.
Plus, one of those decent games (Space Harrier) has already had its arcade version released. I'd still like to see the 32X on VC just to be able to play Star Wars Arcade and Motocross Championship again and to get to try Knuckles Chaotix.

The smart thing to do is the same thing they did with Turbographix CD games. Put them in the Turbografix category, but then charge an extra buck for 32X/Sega CD titles.
There should be no reason it couldn't be done on the Wii, I imagine. I've been emulating 32x/Sega CD since high school (about 8 years or so). It would just take the will to write up a proper emulator and do it.
I am way too lazy to think of something clever. My Backloggery
32X had a good Star Wars game, but also a very nicer looking version of the SNES Star Trek Starfleet Academy which has a 1on1 space combat sim built into it.
Burning Rangers was a Saturn game, Relevant Latty, but there were a couple of decent 32X titles. Virtua Racing, Virtua Fighter, Chaotix and Star Wars Arcade were fairly decent. I also remember playing Metal Head, which wasn't too bad. There's a pretty cool humming bird game (yes, really) for it and conversions of Doom, Mortal Kombat 2 and NBA Jam TE to name a few.
I think people would be more interested in seeing the Mega CD before this but I don't know why they don't just bundle them all in under the Megadrive category.
Also, in answer to the original question, 32X games are tiny in size. If you can fit N64 and Neo Geo games on there, the 32X wont be a problem at all. Just not sure there'd be much demand for it.

Gen/MD games range from 128 KB to 5 MB in size, and 32X carts are all from 2-4 MB, so size certainly isn't an issue regarding VC potential. It just depends on whether the creation of a 32X VC emulator would be worth it for its small library.
Sadly I think the odds of 32X happening are about the same as NEC giving a damn to emulate the 5 games that showed up on the SuperGrafix. There are so little, but of what was done the stuff would be worth a purchase with stuff like the Ghouls N' Ghosts game and Strider to name nearly half the library there.
