After playing sin and punishment 2, super turrican, contra 4 etc. i've just about had it with difficult games. so, before i buy my next one, i wanted some pointers.

1. how does the difficulty of rondo of blood and super castlevania compare to that of castlevania rebirth on normal? higher, lower, same?

2. how does the difficulty of super turrican 2 and mega turrican compare to that of super turrican?

3. how tough is alien solider?

i would really appreciate your help with these questions. i don't want to be frustrated for a while now. in the meantime, i'm going to play some kriby super star.

lol I like the comment about Kirby. The games are easy, but still fun.
Anyhow, I actually don't know about those Castlevanias because I've only played the second one on the NES and Symphony of The Night on Xbox arcade or whatever it's called. Never played the other games though, don't much care for the genre.

Rondo of Blood is considerably harder than rebirth on normal. I found it to be very difficult, good game but you may want to give it a miss. I think Super Castlevania IV is on a similar level to rebirth, the fact you can use your whip in any direction does help. Super Castlevania IV is certainly the most approachable of the old school Castlevania's.

I'd actually try Henry Hatsworth, or the Bit. Trip games. Those are pretty easy, but still enjoyable. Trauma Center series too.

Check out my classy comics.

Get Super Metroid or Paper Mario. They are both pretty easy and WAY fun. Some of my favorite games of all time. ;D

You could look at adventure games. Sam & Max Seasons 1 and 2 are on WiiWare, not difficult at all and are really fun and humorous. Just a little thinking is all that's required.

I'd recommend turn-based RPGs, minigame collections, and....I dunno I heard It's My Birthday wasn't too bad on Easy.

Alien Soldier is SUPEREASY or SUPERHARD depending on what difficulty you select. Get it!

Stop being such a wuss? Practice makes perfect? Not really much we can do for ya man. Games are easy or hard depending on your skill and what difficulty you put them. More often than not, you can just set a game on easy and breeze right through it.

dude, homeboy said he played through the Bit.Trip series. i don't think he sucks or anything, he just wants a more relaxing game experience for his next play.

haha, it sounds like difficult games are your favorite. i mean, i would stay away from Turrican and Castlevania if you're looking to avoid frustration. Why don't you try Super Metroid or something that's more about exploration than dodging bullets?

@Kingbuilder: i've played both of those and liked them very much. thanks for the suggestions, though. they were definitely good ones.

@HolyMackerel: thanks for the games. i'll try those out.

@Swerd_Murd: i have never been able to get much into turn based rpgs but i do like action rpgs. just played book of ys, secret of mana and beyond oasis so i'm set for now.

@SKTTR: sounds good, i'll be sure to check it out.

@Mickeymac: no need to get upset. i was just looking for a change of pace is all.

@lockelocke: thanks for standing up for me, man. and i see your avatar is from boy and his blob. i enjoyed that game. thanks for the suggestion. super metroid is awesome and recently beat other m...twice.

Ufouria. It's not a difficult game, and it's a lot of fun. It's sort of Metroid meets Super Mario Bros. 2.
