well i guess if you saw the hottest perfect girl for you, nice @$$ and such but her boobs were too small, you would not go out with her?
What's so wrong with small breasts? Besides, that can easily be fixed with plastic surgery.
thats what im trying to say, you cant just find one thing wrong when there is a million thats right!
Well I never said there was a million things right with Super Mario Galaxy, I just said Boswer Jr. had a horrible laugh. And besides, I think one little thing can ruin an entire experience for someone, it just depends on how much of an impact that one little thing has on the aforementioned someone.
do you have to beat one level before you play another? or can you skip some like in 64, sunshine, and galaxy, if you wanted to?
Well, I guess they could still make galaxys unlockable by getting stars and all. I didn't like the hub world in Galaxy, but didn't dislike it. I thought that Super Mario Sunshine's was the best of the 3D Marios, because there was so much to explore, with Shines hidden everywhere. I think they've just got to make a better hub-world... (but Sunshine's will always be the best )

@Starkiller - I definitely agree with you about the central hub in Sunshine. I loved just going around and exploring Delfino Plaza! But I still prefer Super Mario 64, even though the main reason is because it was the first Mario game that I ever really got into.
Whatever they'll choose to do, it'll be awesome. Although it's hard to do better than the perfect game.
So ends a saga older than time itself. The World's oldest and fiercest army has been led to victory, and a lost generation is delivered from its fear of extinction. As the sun sets over the field of conflict the dinosaurs disperse, hoping never to set foot in this place a...
...Hmm. Interesting decision. On one hand, I wasn't a big fan of Galaxy's hub world. On the other hand, Mario 64 and Sunshine especially had fantastic hub worlds--Isle Delfino is one of my all time favorite game locations. I think this direction works, simply because it takes place in space (and it would be difficult to give the sequel a real sense of context--the first one was kind of pushing it) but I'll have to play it before I can pass any real judgement on it.

Sunshine was good.
Bowser Jr. talked in that one.

I like the nonlinearity of the hubworlds too. I usually go in order anyway, so I'm not too worried about the change. I like having the option of doing things in whatever order I want though.
I am way too lazy to think of something clever. My Backloggery
The only thing I'm worried about in this decision: There won't be as much variety. Super Mario Bros. 3 and most (possibly all....) other 2D Mario games' maps included 8 worlds, with all the levels in one world having similar qualities. Super Mario Galaxy, on the other hand, had more than 40 different galaxies that provided a great amount of variety. Now, there's a chance that they'll do it a little differently than in the 2D ones, but still, I guess we should just wait and see.....
